Is WoW worth it?

It's fun and all but after awhile you'll get bored and realized you wasted a ****load of time only to end up loot whoring whenever you get on.

They don't even have random pvp anymore from what I hear. People walking around hillsbrad and not getting ganked at least once every 10 mins?

That's just weak.

i think its worth it. 15$ is nothing if u have a job.........

The million + ppl dont seem to mind that its $15 per month

and the service is good, no hackers like GUNZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

I think wow is the best game out right now.

Tried Trial, was fun just exploring places and completing quests (pretty much grind or go around and chat with NPCs, but that´s what these games offer).

It was quite nice, but since I don´t have that much time to spend I didn´t buy it.

Few of my friends play it and they say the game can be played in many ways, soloing, partying with random people or with friends, later some fun with guild etc.
Also mentioned something about "the real game" beginning on higher levels with so much more stuff to do or something like that.

Wheter it´s worth the monthly cost or not, well that depends totally on person and his preferences. I suggest to try trial if you can as a starter (not sure if they nowadays just let you download it or do you need to loan someones CDs/download it from other sources.)

The absolute worst thing you have to suffer through hacking wise is bots that invite you to their party, then tell you about a great offer to buy gold on that server illegally. Either way you can just report those people using the ingame report system, and they get banned after 10 people report them and one GM checks their logs.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: If you don't like WoW, don't bother playing other MMORPGs. WoW is the pinnacle of the MMORPG genre currently, ill let you know when a better one comes out. If you are discouraged by the cost... well then don't play. No one is forcing you to play.
