| Super Moderator | Game: Knights of the Old Republic (Star Wars!) Synopsis: You play the role of a Jedi (Obviously), where you get to choose your own path being the Dark side or the Greater good side of the Force (even a gray sort of aspect is available, depending how you choose to look at the games available concepts). Being this Jedi, you find yourself being more than just the typical Sentient being out in the galaxy with high Force sensitivity and eventually you're set out to bring balance to the Force, as well as the Galaxy itself. To do this, the Jedi Council sends you out on a mission to find Maps that lead to the "Star Forge" where the "Sith" somehow creates it's massive army and eventually destroy the Star Forge to prevent the Sith from taking over the Galaxy. You control up to 3 of a possible 10 characters (If I'm not mistaken) to decide how a battle and field shall be played out with each character's individual class capabilities. Things you feel are awesome : The Side Quests in Kotor make this quite enjoyable outside of the badguy smashing pleasures. Each character has their own mini quests for you to partake in and eventually gain influence for (which guides the character's appeal and response towards your character and his/her actions). What also makes this game very appealing is the customization, not only for your main character, but the tidbits of flexibility for the other members in your party, also. The upgradeable weapons and status effects you can place on them makes combat very diverse, if you choose to avoid the pure overwhelming strength tactic that's available in every game. Which is a nice change. The Force powers available also give a vast diversity amongst the strategies you can bring forth. Things you really don't like and why: The beginning. Being a Star Wars game where I knew I could become an all-powerful Jedi ruined the very start of my journey to such an outcome. I hated being a Scout or Smuggler or whatever those ridiculous sub-classes were without any Force powers or Lightsabers. Otherwise, I cant think of any issues I ever had with this game. Multiplayer: No. Pictures: http://rpgfan.com/pics/starwars-koto...or-xbox-04.jpg http://rpgfan.com/pics/starwars-koto...or-xbox-46.jpg http://rpgfan.com/pics/starwars-koto...or-xbox-42.jpg ---------- Old stuff for the many winnings. The Sequel is kick ass as well, if not more. Depends on how many times you played through each. Likes and dislikes are exactly the same for the second. Except to add to the dislikes for Kotor 2; I hated how I couldn't finish a side quest with HK-47, because they simply didn't finish it themselves. |

| Super Moderator | ^Personally own it myself, but it is lost! I'll find it soon enough, but still annoying. Have the second one under my mouse, ready for instant action! So if I did have it readily available and gave you access to my computer through funky means, then I suppose you could! Play for free. |

| Member | WHOOPS sorry, I didn't read the format befor. Okay here. Sypnosis: Okay, well if you followed to Warcraft storyline, (which you probaly havn't) it gets pretty detailed. And I don't have all that time to type it out. The game offers rich graphics, beautiful scenery and probaly the most customizable characters of all time. If you have a low end pc, you wont be able to play. What I think is awesome: Well, LOTS of things. The community is pretty good, I enjoy that alot. The thing that makes this game what it is are the raids. Your first raid is going to give you jitters . btw, once you see Outlands, you might s*** your pants with joy. (on your first trip there)Things I don't like: Flying... omg, its a pain in the ass. You see, there are these bat handlers in every "country" and they fly you to where ever, but say you have to fly across the continent. your looking at a 10-15 minute ride. At the higher levels, you'll be flying across that ALOT. (near 60) Multiplayer: Only the biggest online game... o_o so yes. All in all, it comes to over $40, but if your looking for your BEST RPG gaming experience. WoW Is probably what your looking for. Its worth the extra cash. have fun. ![]() |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | I have KotOR, I beat it as evil. It lags too much in the grassy areas for me to try to beat it again as good(Although I still might attempt it). Bastila never liked me much because I did a lot of bad things. ![]() Good game overall, the lag is because my computer sucks. Last edited by Admiral Awesome (115 votes); 07-05-2007 at 01:52 PM. |
