-LONG leveling system. Takes one day to reach level two, and you can only level further in groups(at higher levels). Also, the higher the level, the more foreigners you will encounter. Have fun learning chinese.

Its just not fun. Its the black sheep of the final fantasy legacy.

And the controls were.....not well planned out for FFXI but, in my experience at least, it's more teamwork dependent than WoW. So if you like having your life placed in other people hands while you hope that they don't absolutely suck and know what a skill chain IS....this is the game for you.

It also doesn't tolerate absolute scrubs since the dunes weed them out.

You don't need to "learn chinese". When I played foreigners made better party members than other Americans and generally knew what was expected of them.

I dropped the game cause it just took too much time.

Get a PS->USB converter so you can use a playstation controller. The game is tons better with it.

Otherwise, the game is fairly uninteresting the first 30 levels. Maybe 25. And that's quite some time in itself.

And on topic, this game is built around partying, you run around from level 1-30 looking for a party for your first class change. Then you run round looking for parties from level 30-75.

Then it's basically.. it?
