Why not go for both?
The only Tales game I played was the one for the SNES and the one for the PS1. I'm gonna buy a game cube just to play the Tales game on that.

Tales of Symphonia easily best JRPG on gamecube, I have played the Vesperia demo its pretty much the same, but I do like the ES battle system.

I ****in' love BOTH. BOTH are worth the money. Which is why I'm GETTING both for my birthday this week ^_^.

get both ._. i beat eternal sonata and trying to max it out, i plan on getting tales of vesperia like on my birthday or christmas ._.

Eternal Sonata is pretty unique compared to other RPGs for the 360, but Tales of Vesperia is like any other Tales game, so you can count on it being good. I just like the battle system in Eternal Sonata. Your skills change depending if your in the light or in the dark. If you like that Star Ocean play style feel i suggest getting Tales of Vesperia.
