Top Speed, MMORPG-Racing Game

Have any of you heard of this game? Judging from the screenshots it looks like Mario Kart, but it's an MMORPG racing game for the PC with persistent items and upgrades and stats.

I just heard about it from a friend of mine who works at the company that's publishing it and he says it's in English.

According to the site, the Top Speed Closed Beta Test will be running from 25 June 2008 - 1 July 2008, for a duration of 7 days.

And there will be a 7-day ranking tournament throughout the Closed Beta Test. An hourly update will be available on the game site detailing the current status of racer ranks. I think that's kinda cool.

It's not listed on the site but he said that closed beta testers will receive a special item in later versions of the game and maybe achievements/forum badges to show that you were a beta tester. That's pretty cool, I think.

I've been looking for a racing game for awhile now (I <3 mario kart) for the PC and Top Speed looks like it could be a lot of fun.

The screenshots look better than drift city IMO

And i don't think i can play any games from these people, they are the same people that block me from playing Grenado Espada
