Need Game w/ Good Single Player (PC)

So, I'm going on a trip soon to Asia with a 16 hour flight... so I'm going to go buy a new game soon (only one because I need rest of money for actual trip) and I would also like it to have multiplayer (online) but its not an absolute necessity. Recommend me some games please, I was thinking about getting the Warcraft 3 Battlechest but maybe not...

Diablo 2 is a quick fun game. Quick as in easy to pick up, but the story make take you a little longer.
