![]() ![]() | Ok, i've seen a lot of people moaning about 999 NAT Pings, or that they get NAT config when playing against another person on the same network. So here it is.. Step One - Accessing your router Open up Internet Explorer, and in the Url bar type ''192.168.1.1'' then a login box should appear : ![]() The default password for most router's will be : Username : admin Password : admin If this don't work, try finding the book/disk you get with your router/hub and the default login should be written somewhere in there. Step Two - Finding your LAN IP In the bottom of your desktop there should be a active internet connection icon, right click it, status, Support, Ip Address : 192.168.x.x ![]() If there is no icon try, Start, Control panel, Network connections, right click, status, Support, Ip Address : 192.168.x.x Now we should have your LAN IP and be logged into your router/hub. Step Three - Port Forwarding Look for Port Range Forwarding normally found under firewall, security or Applications & Gaming. If you can't find it, go to here, find your router model, then click GunZ, and scan the page to find out where it should say to click to get to the port forwarding page. Name : GunZ01 (can be anything though) start : 7700 End : 7800 Protocol : Both (UDP + TCP) IP Address : Your LAN IP you collected in Step Two Enable/On : Always / Yes Step Four - Testing Your internet should have disconnected for a split section for enable the opening of the ports. Load GunZ up and see if you have agent error (999) to everyone. You shouldn't have, also anyone with NAT error (have to relogin after each game or going afk for 3 mins), wait a while in your clan channel, then enter a game and check you havn't got NAT... ________________________________________________ Playing GunZ on a LAN Connection ________________________________________________ Follow the steps above with your computer making sure you do everything correctly. So you have have the follow, example : Code: Name : GunZ01 start : 7700 End : 7800 Protocol : Both (UDP + TCP) IP Address : 192.168.1.101 Enable/On : Always / Yes Start, My Computer, C:\ijji\ENGLISH\Gunz\Config.xml - Open with notepad. Scroll down and look towards the bottom of the text, you should see the following : Code: <ETC> <NETWORKPORT1>7700</NETWORKPORT1> <NETWORKPORT2>7800</NETWORKPORT2> Code: <ETC> <NETWORKPORT1>7600</NETWORKPORT1> <NETWORKPORT2>7699</NETWORKPORT2> His port forward should look something like this : Code: Name : GunZ01 start : 7600 End : 7699 Protocol : Both (UDP + TCP) IP Address : 192.168.1.104 Enable/On : Always / Yes ![]() i hope this thread helps everyone, and i will be giving support to those who post on this thread. Remember, this may take some time at first but it's worth every second. Also, last thing you would like to know.. THIS DOES NOT GIVE YOU A STATIC IP So what i'm basically saying is, if you ever restart your router, your LAN IP's will change, so you will have to update 192.168.x.x when you restart it. I don't have this problem, because i don't restart my router ![]() Thanks for your time, ~Aaron. |
