| Gunzfactorian | I am not monk. I am only a friend of monk. These are actually letters that make gave to me that you should take a look at.Please don't face any hostility towards me. Customer (Wuju Wuju) 01/29/2008 05:03 AM Dear ijji Administration team, This letter includes all of the members of ijji support team who understand hacking very well. To tell you this, I am Monk the guy who got banned for using the Divine Gates. It is no longer named Monk Style in anyway. I ask you, I have no programs running to perform the Divine Gates. How do you plan to prevent this? Also how do you plan to stop me for using the Divine Gates? Please answer this question, do you expect me to stop playing Gunz? I am able to compete with hackers without hacking. I ask you, I have done nothing wrong, it is purely based on skill. Thank you. I also have a problem with that, you are unable to patch me in anyway, therefore I am not effecting your game in anyway either, it is just the players who dislikes my superiority in game play. That is a fact which is unseen. Sincerely, Monk Response (CSR Jovianne) 01/29/2008 11:41 AM Dear ijji.com member, The "Monk" style you are referring to has been deemed an exploitation of game mechanics and appropriate action will be taken against users who participate in using this exploit. We're unable to discuss future content or patches. For more information our forums are found at: ijji Forums Thank you for your time. As always, we appreciate your feedback and continued support. Sincerely, Account Administration ijji - Where Gamers Unite! "Where Gamers Unite!" Customer (Wuju Wuju) 01/29/2008 05:56 PM Dear CSR Jovianne, I mean the best of intentions of this letter, please do not mistake any of this as "inappropriate" as you read this letter. You and your staff may not be aware of this story. About four years ago, many players were banned for the use of "Korean-Style" moves. MAIET Entertainment allowed the use of "K-Style" as it was the use of something called "Emergent Game play." Emergent game play is the use of a game different than the original intent of the game designers. This may be due to bugs in the game engine or a creative idea to use the software in a different way. You may be aware that emergent game play popped up in games like Starcraft, allowing users to make creative maps which were enjoyable for others. Blizzard did not stop this emergent game play as it helped with their success. K-Style proved to be a successful form of emergent game play and helped with the popularity of GunZ. I believe that my so called "Monk-Style" is nothing different. It's yet another unique form of game play. There are still ways for regular players to play against people using my "Monk-Style." If you believe that this is a problem, then precautions should be taken in order to remove the style from the game. I am sure that your staff and MAIET could work something out. I do not attempt using third-party software in order to achieve this style at all. The ijji staff has seemed to gain a "bad" reputation for how they handle situations. I remember that a while back, a game master renamed the user "FazyLuck" to "Flower" then later banned him. He was in no ways violating the ToS (terms of service), yet it seemed to be in the mind of one the staff members that it was. There was also the situation regarding shower room games awhile back as well. Users would be banned if caught in a shower room death-match game. As a member of gunzfactor.com clearly pointed out, a new user would not know that shower rooms are actually not allowed just through a little statement. In my honest opinion, the staff members at ijji do not know how to deal with a proper situation. This is how they got a bad reputation. I'd suggest that members would take the good time and effort to get to know what the Terms of Service actually MEAN before they take action. If "Monk-Style" violates the ToS, so does "K-Style." If the staff members at ijji do not wish to accept this, it's called corruption. I would appreciate this if the staff members would understand this situation clearly. Sincerely, Monk Discussion Thread Response (CSR Jovianne) 01/29/2008 06:45 PM Hello again Monk, I understand your views clearly and that you want nothing more than opportunity to make the game better through means beyond its intentions. Believe it or not we love creativity and ideas for our games. However, the fact at hand is that "Monk Style" has been deemed as an exploitation of the game mechanics. Until it is deemed otherwise, it will still be an actionable offense to use the style. Thank you for your understanding. We welcome you to send your suggestions on how to improve our games and improve our quality of service to general_suggestion@ijji.com Regards, Account Administration ijji - Where Gamers Unite! Discuss this please |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Seen them already. No one cares. He's a geeky nerd that think's he's something by abusing delays and adding more buttons for block, and a gaming mouse. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | Most people won't even give a flying f*** about Monk and his "Gates". His style is unique in his own way, such as finding exploits to animation freeze and digging deeper into that. Monk Style is not Legitimate, Never will be Legitimate, because most people can't be able to do it. As you have seen in Monk's past video, even recording with Fraps, he gets no fps lag whatsoever, meaning he has those super server/gaming pc that pleasures him. Doesn't matter what anybody says, no one agrees with Monk whatsoever and with him sending messages to Ijji is just downright complete bullsh**. Good Day Everybody. |

| Gunzfactorian | Why is there still discussions about "Monk style?" It is considered an exploit, and therefore until otherwise considered a legitimate part of the game, it will be an offense with the result of the ban hammer. I do not care one way or another about it if it were to be accepted, but the fact remains that it is not. To keep the peace on these forums, would it be possible that "Monk style" not be discussed since all it does is cause more problems than it solves? As a side note, those letters do not sound anything like the Monk I have heard of on these forums. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | meh, i actually rather like Monk, but thats partially because i have no reason to dislike him and have talked to him for a while before, it was interesting. im personally complete against the fact he was banned by ijji, although im not into using divine gates (some friends have even asked me never to learn it for their own safety... lol...) but i see no reason to make it bannable, it is basicly just double/single slash, bf, dbf and bf buffed up, it has strengths and weaknesses and the only way it would ever be unfair is against idiots who cannot use those against the user of the moves. divine gates improves on the strengths but also opens up new weaknesses, most being a severe lack of maneuverability without walls, and lots of them. but unfortunately nothing i can do, oh well... given time ijji will prob just give up, theres no way they can ever stop that pervert and his followers, absolutely no way... |
