Family guy steals from The Simpsons?

some people believe that family stole from the simpsons and there was this short video posted on youtube about it.

i dont think family guy stole anything from the simpsons, what do u guys think?

yep, fg is just simpsons. Family Guy is funny, but they did totally rip off of simpsons. I mean, a dumb fat guy, a whiney skinny wife, a boy and girl and baby ? Cmon. And look at those vids. Simpsons came first and is funnier so it wins.

only 2 of those seemed to really rip off simpsons. everything else was just a similar idea.

Made in same studio or w/e. With the same guy, Seth Green or something. Don't remember his name.

EDIT: Change Homer's voice some and it'll sound like Peter's, same with Marge's.

just cuz there both on fox doesnt mean they have to be the same. Pokemon diamond and pearl was ACTUALLY made by the same people.

Both shows have hundreds of episodes out. Each episode has hundreds of jokes in it, and so many different situations that for these few coincidences to happen isn't surprising at all. Especially since by second video(referring to the two youtube links provided here), the examples of coincidences were getting weaker and weaker.

A few of the examples provided are actually common situations to occur in any ordinary sitcom or ongoing TV series which doesn't have a thematic storyline(meaning they fly by the seat of their pants episode to episode). For example, the whole bit about having your children taken away from you. That's nothing new, and doesn't mean it's been stolen from another series. It's a very vague and general situation in fact.

The same thing goes for having your car stolen or wrecked so you can collect the insurance from it. Happens all the time in shows, it's nothing new at all.
