![]() | Movie Name: GunZ Heroes Episode 1: Past Friends Size: 213 MB Duration: 0:18:52 Video Size: 720 x 480 Link: GunZ_Heroes_Movie_0001.wmv - FileFront.com Summary: Meadow, a organization bent on collecting special artifacts, has been sending out people to carry out odd jobs in order to kill specific people to obtain special items that can be used to make someone powerful as can be. But when 2 of the members have been thought to be stealing some of the artifacts, they are then sent out to be killed along with other members. But needless to say, the traitor could be staring our hero Kojiben in the face as a friend. Notes: CloudNA helped with the editing by using Sony Vegas because I had problems with my version and it did not render thus CloudNA helped. Last edited by Kojiben; 08-18-2007 at 10:03 PM. |

| Gunzfactorian Patriot | Woah! One of the best GunZ Series I've seen! Not because I'm in it, It's the quality and the story. The music, matched perfectly. The story, it was dramatic and well fited. The effects, well uhh... You should use it when it's at the right moment but other than that it was good. And last but not least, the subtitles were abit dull. I mean it's good when you use it but you should at least make the font smaller or change the style of the letters. +Rep Rating: 9.5/10 (Very close) P.S: I noticed you used some "Phantasy Star Universe" music... | The One and Only | God damn dude. That was awesome. I loved the ending. That was the best part by far. You have some great ideas here, and your use of music and timing was great. I liked how you tried to control the lighting and things like that. The thing is, it seeems like in some parts you heart was in it, yet at other times you really weren't trying that much. The ending for instance. I can tell you were really feeling it. But it's clear from other things, like the fight with that chick they were trying to assassinate at the beginning, that you weren't putting a ton of thought into it. Just trying to get it done, rather. A lot of your effects I think should be removed from this film. If you want to know specifics, you can ask me in PM and I'll give you the times. But some of the effects are very plainly just effects, and don't really fit with what's going on. I can tell what you're going for, but they just don't do the job. And they would, but you really need to experiment with them and keyframe more in order to achieve what you want. I recommend going back and redoing these, because it would make your film loads better. As far as angles go, you had your good points and your bad points. Some parts looked just like regular old free cam(although still much better than most gunz films), where others looked very well done and thought out. The story was VERY well done. It was portrayed well, and it began and ended in just the right spots. Though it could have been a little bit longer, as if to show Hybrid and Kujah's "friendship" a little more before there was just that sudden conflict. But otherwise, I think this was great. One thing I hated was how the video would get really choppy and skip a lot of frames at some points. Mainly in the fight at the beginning when they had to assassinate that chick. It looks to me like your fraps lagged while recording on Gunz. I know it's a pain to go back and re-record, but it's something you should most definately do if you've got any framerate loss at all, let alone loss which is that bad. And if it happened in rendering, re-render it. It's worth it. As a side note, you may want to cut your subtitles in, instead of fading them in. It's distracting to have to wait for them to appear all the way before you can read and then put attention back on the actual scene. My biggest beef was the effects, lag at some parts, and the technical errors I saw. This movie was so good man, don't ruin it with stuff like that which can be easily fixed. This is one of the best Gunz films I've seen, really man. I'd say this is right beneath Never Enough(Since I hate giving x/10 ratings). Awesome job dude, really. Edit: Also, thanks for the mention at the end man. ![]() Last edited by Paul; 04-15-2007 at 11:12 PM. |

| Member | Wow hella good way better than me. I like your camera angles and stuff. But sometimes I kinda got confused in the story, but in the end it was great. Also I liked the ending, reminds me of Cowboy Bebop. One last question however... WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE FREAKING ENDING CREDIT SONG!!! DO YOU KNOW THAT I'VE BEEN WONDERING WHAT THE NAME OF THAT SONG IS FOR LIKE 4 YEARS?! GEEZE OH WEEZE! 9/10 ![]() |

But the topic on effects. The effects weren't done by me but rather CloudNa. See I needed a border effect on the scenes and a widescreen too. I tried to make it on Sony Vegas but it wouldn't render correctly so I got CloudNa to help with the border. I also asked him to make effects too so thats what he did and thats whats in the movie. I thought they where ok so thats that. But thanks alot for the comments and plan on making more movies in the future that is better than this. EDIT: Quote:
