| Gunzfactorian Patriot | It was pretty good altough,i didn't like that blue, green, red effect you used around 02:00. But there are nice frags and good editing. The other effects were good altough, i agree with hymn with the camera movement and intro 6.5(7)/10 Emjay |

| Gunzfactorian Patriot | Not bad... not bad... Usually when it comes to first videos, it's very long, boring, and the qualities are crap. But this one was okay. I did worse than you when I made my first video.... buuuut.... I never posted it because it sucked. Oh well... If you keep practicing how to make decent movies, more people will want to join =/ Rating: 7.5/10 (It's Okay) |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Lol? Anyway. Thanks for the comments guys. And yeah I know Hymn, the camera shakes and jerks were pretty pointless. Yes, I do agree on what some of you said about the long intro. Thanks! EDIT: Got any favorite scenes? My personal favorite is the 1v1 duel in mansion, The one with the Circle effect =] Last edited by (Destro); 02-23-2007 at 11:03 AM. |

Either way I'll give you my opinion on a few things that didn't work. First I'll give you a tip with the camera. It was a little bit choppy as you were traveling around. You can smoothen this if you reduce the mouse sensitivity. Now as far as the camera shake itself goes, I'm sure you can see that it doesn't look very good. You want to be careful how you use it if you're going to use it the way you wanted to. One of the problems is that GunZ isn't capable to do some of the stuff you tried. Personally, I don't think the camera shake effect that you tried doing on the character looks good. The one that you did from side to side at the end of the intro doesn't look good either. The jump cuts... that's subjectional, but then what was your purpose behind jump cutting? I also feel like you could have gone more with the rhythm of the song. You don't have to, but I think it would have made the video more interesting. Because at the beginning all there is, is the drums and the camera zooming around the map. I also feel that you should have probably had close ups. For instance when you show your character, the closest shot you have is the one where you slightly cut her feet off. I think that to establish better connection between the viewer and the character you should have included a few close up shots. The actual frag video I'm not very interested in just because frag videos aren't really my thing, but you didn't do anything new there necessarily. You used a few effects a few times, some of which didn't really work in my opinion, and the rest were just kills. The ending free cam sequence could definitely use improvement. You should have refilmed it if you were planning on using it because the camera shifting at the beginning makes it crappy. I also feel as though you could have zoomed in sooner to show the guy getting killed more clearly, and perhaps even added some slow motion to emphasize it... Just ideas... The technical lag problems clearly don't help and uhm... you should have probably refilmed them or lowered the resolution so that it didn't lag (pretty annoying). Pretty good for a first experimental video. Experimental videos don't always turn out good no matter how good of a film maker you are either way. Good job mate, looking forward to your future work.
