WMM question

Im making a movie and have a question about WMM.

When i add a clip to the time line and try to put an effect on to the clip it uses that effect for the entire clip.

i.e slow the clip down or speed the clip up or turn a different colour.

Is there a way to use the effects on cetain parts of the clip nstead of it doing it all the way through it.

you split the clip into sections , effect the bits u want and make them resume with the ending of that clip

Hmm, If you mean it like this what i do is put the part i need on the right side then edit it i don't have it near anythink else i then finish and move it back onto the place i want to put it, That's basically it.
