Making a 1 hour long movie. help needed.

I'm just started writing a script for a one hour + long movie. I know this sounds crazy, but I'm willing to try. If I'm not wrong, I might be the first one to organize a 1 hour plus movie. I propably need zeph's go-ahead and skill coordination. I also need Ailysa, if she can agree after making her film.

This is just a suggestion to create a massive project. I know it will take a really long while, and i cannot do it alone. Please give your suggestions and advice if this project should be continued and how it should be coordinated.

To zeph and ailysa: I need all the help required and it would be a great help if both of you can help me manage this movie. Thank you.

For the movie, and for Gunzfactor.

It's going to have to be incredible, if you're to keep the viewers attention for the whole hour.

ehm.. do you have a big computer it wil cost alot of space a 15 movie cost about 7 gig (at my comp)

Dude, 15 minutes is not 7 gigs. Seriously, people need to know that recording programs to not compress your source files.

That's why it's 7 gigs. -_- Go compress 'em, hun.

haha when I made a 5 minute movie, I took 20gb uncompressed AVIs. I ahd the space though =D

na i dont compress ava has good ress on it and most of the compress
programs lower the ress and put a logo in it

oo yeah try putting it to youtube also that way everone will post their commands on your video when you are done

Windows Movie Maker compresses files when you save it as a movie file without messing with its resolution or quality and without any watermarks.

Uh.... Trust me on this one.... making a 1 hour movie will take a LOT of hard work. My movie: Revenge Is Sweet (Which needs actors for my last scene this weekend [Check out my thread for details]

), which i'm making now, might make the 3/4 hour stage.
You need quite a bit of movie-making experience to make a movie that will last 1 hour. My movie has taken me more then - is it 3-4 months to make?

The problems you will have is you might only have to film on weekends like I did if you need alot of people for one scene.
Also, I am warning you now. AVOID having many actors for 1 scene as it has been so hard for me.
1. They live around the world and you will have to put the times for acting when they might not like it.
2. Half the actors might not be able to come or might come whenever they feel like it (Such as when the scene has already been finished -.- [Not mentioning any names])
3. Many actors HAVE NO BRAINS so choose them carefully. You tell them things to do and they do the opposite. (Be warned)

If you're planning on making a movie that long, don't tell me I didn;t warn you and I hope you're prepared for alot of work

Otherwise... GOODLUCK on it! :P You'll need it.

lol i dont use movie maker (want to know wy i dont understand a simple program like wmm)

maby i can do it whit vegas

One good thing about WMM is that it automatically compresses clips. I'm not sure if Vegas can. =/

aaaah, okay. So overall results, I'm getting the some great advice and help. Appreciated it. Anyway, I know its gonna be hard work, and well, i kinda need Ailysa and Zeph to help me well, erm... create the movie >.< (hope its not too much trouble) I can't do it alone and I need something that will catch the viewers attention (PN) and a perfect planning (RougeRebel). Is it okay if Zeph and Ailysa can help me? ( I am hoping to fuse Ailysa's careful planning and Zeph's movie creation skills. =P)

To zeph and Ailysa: We live in the same time zone, so lagg and timing-problems would be minimized. Thanks.
