| Member | Does anybody know where I can download good recorder that won't be above 128 mb's for files (using it for a movie), cause I followed a tutorial in here that was stickied set it up all good and its still 130mb files thats ... harsh so yeah any info would be nice thank you. |

| [zeh-fahyuhr] Resigned Super Moderator Golden Gunzfactorian ![]() | You see, Fraps doesn't compress your clips, which is why it's so huge. <_< (I'm surprised so many people don't know this.) I doubt any third-party video recording programs compress clips, so you're better off with Fraps, then compressing the clips with something else. *topic moved to Movies Section* |

| Moderator | You open the file in Movie Maker... put it in the timeline. Then you go to File > Save Movie File > My Computer > Enter movie name and designated foler > Best fit to file size: 500KB. However, you'd never want to make the file size that small because chances are that your movie quality will turn into wet toilet paper. I'd recommend choosing "Other Settings: Video for local playback (2.1 Mbps). That usually compresses to a low file size, and still keeps the quality pretty good. |
