Here are some important things you should know before submitting, or even making your movie...

- Follow the criteria stated in this stickied topic if you want your movie on the main site. Failure to do so will result in your movie not being added until you have edited the first post, and even then, I can't guarantee it will be added if I don't see it.

- No plagiarism. I mean it. Really. There's no point ripping someone else's ideas off. Not only does it prove that you're unoriginal, it's also an utter disregard of intellectual property. Everyone has a unique 'style' of making movies. You don't have to follow them. Go find your own.

- Compress your source files. People hate downloading or streaming huge videos. It takes forever. Make sure you have your source files and/or your movie compressed first before submitting it. Remember, Windows Movie Maker functions as an automatic video compressor. Just drag a freshly-recorded imported clip into your timeline and save it as a movie file. It will be compressed, and its quality will be spared. You should do this for all your source files before starting on your movie. Remember, most recordong programs do not compress your clips for you.

- First Movie Syndrome? Slap yourself. 'First Movie Syndrome' is what I call a condition in which a person has made his or her first movie and is too or overly proud of it, resulting in extreme ego boosts, and even irrational behaviour and replies to negative comments. Note that this does not apply to everyone. For that matter, don't let your ego get out of hand either. There's no point saying 'this' is better than 'that' and such, or sticking that little dagger concealed up your sleeve into someone from behind. These are just movies, submitted for the viewing pleasure of the public, not some secret battle of egos.

- Type your damn words out. Scripted movie? Plot? Dialogue? Yes? If you really suck at whatever language your movie is in, at least get it checked. Personally, I'm sick of all those movies with very badly typed out text. It's like raping the English language from behind. Also, make sure the post and topic title when you submit your movie are properly typed out. I've seen movie topics that are typed out worse than what a dyslexic person could manage.

- Please don't compare other movies in a negative light. There shouldn't be any sour feelings because someone decided to favour one person's movie over another's. These people worked hard on their movies, and they deserve the due respect. It may be hurtful to those who worked hard on their own, even though comparing them like this may be something you take your sadistic pride from. Imagine if you were on the negative end of a person's comparisons.

- Give credit to whom it's due. If the movie was made by someone else, then say so and give credit. Like my second point here, do not claim credit for work that's not yours.

- Do not abuse flashy effects. Remember that some people may be epileptic without even their own knowledge, and sudden flashes may have unwanted effects. If your movie is centered around flashy effects, please give a warning in your post.

- Limit yourself with the advertisements. You should only have one movie casting topic, no more. Don't advertise your movie or ask for actors in some other topic.

- Yuna92 is only human. You know what that means? It means he's not some kind of robot, meaning he''s not on all day long every day. He actually has a life, and maybe when you find yours, you'd understand. This means that you don't need to spam his inbox just to get your movie added to the main site, especially without even providing a link. It should be added in due time. In the unlikely case where he does miss your movie, then you may send him a private message about it.

- Modzzz may change this at any given moment without your knowledge. Pretty self-explanatory, I think.
