| Former MAIET Staff Golden Gunzfactorian ![]() | I have read people's complaints today. I have been aware of the problems that people have mentioned in the thread made by Tophat. But we were just unable to fix them right away. Why? You must ask. Ok..As all you might already know, we're short on workers. Sure, we are a small company. Only about 20 people here. But we still have to manage Gunz in Korea, Japan, three other versions in other countries that I cannot mention officially. However, there are only less then 5 people managing all of those since Gunz is not the only game that we're working on. One man is taking care of more than 5 different databases. One man is taking of all the web related businesses. I'm taking care of all the communication in and out, and manage Igunz. I try to find all the problems and improve them in a timely manner, but there are always exceptional situations such as hack problem. We had to bring down our forum due to a massive hack attack to our database. Some might say it wasn't massive at all, but the loss that has been resulted by the hack was significant. Yeah, hack was the main thing that has been bothering us the most. That's why we had to put x-trap first. When we started Igunz, it was actually for fun. Venister wanted to see how many people would visit our server. He didn't even advertise or anything. More and more people just came by in coincidence, or by mouth to mouth advertisement. That was the beginning of Igunz. We don't expect more from Igunz at the moment. Though we know about the market possibility of Igunz, and our next target market is the Igunz. We're not gonna give up on Igunz. It just takes a longer time than you / we expect. About the interview thing, that Full version will be released in the Winter of 2005, it must have been Venister's dream. He, himself, wanted that to happen more than anybody in the world, I'm sure. I hope we can release the full version tomorrow. -_- You say that Venister is a lame business man. BUT IN FACT, He is a great man. I'm not saying that because he my employer. Every year in korea, about 500 game companies are created, about the same amount go out of business. Maiet has been here for about 8 years. This is really something that a small company can hardly acheive in Korea. You must understand the nature of game business. Once Blizard produced a game out of Starcraft. A FPS style game about Ghost unit of the main game. I'm not sure but the game was delayed for several years. Shlt happens in game industry. It must have been really hard for Venister to keep communication with Igunz users due to the language barrier. <---I'm not sure if I'm spelling this right -_- It must have been really hard for him to post announcements when I wasn't here. However, I will be here for the communication now. After our official forum was down, I was in the server 3, playing with users, trying to have fun with them. Now I found this fantastic forum, I will update you guys with latest news. There might be bad news sometimes. But yet, I'll be around. Leave replies with complaints, flames, or anything. | GunZFactor Founder | Thanks for the info Guntrix! I think most of us really appreciate all thats been done and its really great to have you here to bring all of this together and keep us updated. The more information we have, the more the community can be at rest and know that all is being done that can. |

And besides premiums, more weapons, quest mode, and more maps, what is MAIET planning for GunZ in the future? Why do jGunZ and kGunZ get certain maps earlier(Snow Town(already out for iGunZ) and Lost Shrine for example.) than iGunZ when all it takes is the map file in an update and an edited system.mrs? |

![]() | I've actually hacked my system.mrs file to play the Lost shrine map. Even made a no-hack, no-nonsense runnable for it and packaged it all up in a installer calling it a un-offical add-on. Had it released on my website for about 3 weeks before X-trap came along. But I digress. Lost shrine is in fact a flippers paradise. I think before making more maps like that they should make it so when you recover from a flip you Actually recover, as in able to move, dash and such BEFORE hitting the ground like if your flipped you should regain control when you fall back to the level that you were flipped from... otherwise your just a sitting duck unable to actually get back up before you fall down a hole. |

| Hiding Inside Myself Super Moderator | No, I suggest that you keep the flipping glitch. Melees are pretty powerful, with the butterfly capabilities (except daggers, of course) and the superb KStyle acts (DStyle too), they pretty much depend on the ability of melees. Now the flipping: I think that the "immobility of someone who just got hit by a flip of a melee" was just an accident, a bug, a glitch, an error in coding. But you see, flipping makes melee weapons worth the attention. The flipper and the flipped actually learn to use this outstanding glitch, even using it for such deadly attacks as Infinite Juggle and Instakill. Players actually expand more their "alert system" for possible flips, and do the same thing to the guy. Players observe more (I wonder if this word exists ) of the things happening around the map, which is a pretty helpful tactic.Flipping is just one of the few "glitches" that MAIET should treasure.... |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | Omg! You were in buisness for 8 years?! Wow! That is alot for only 20 ppl.(are you sure? last time I checked it was 14) Also about the uppercut thing. I think that it is suppost to immoblize you since if you can move after a uppercut(or stab) then you can kill the guy. Say you stab someone with a dagger. Then we recovers and he can still move. He takes out a shotgun and kills you in one hit. That is the only problem so then there would be no dagger noob. lol. jk. ps.I think we are going off-topic. |

I mean sure sometimes the tech problem makes you wanna scream and flame maiet, but the thing is gunz have entertained us all and still does, n we gunz lover should be thankful and blessed...
