Meh, its not that hard. I do my work pixel by pixel on everything -.- Its a lot cleaner, and thats how I learned.

lets say if the line is 12px long right? you do 3px with a 1px brush at 100% opacity then the next 3 px with the brush at 75% opacity then 50% then 25%. easy

p.s. i use photoshop constantly pretty much everyday so if you need help just
