Tutorial:Crosshairs with MS Paint & Gimp

Ok this tutorial almost only for people that cant use Photoshop and Macromedia fireworks.
Remember it is a tutorial for MS Paint and Gimp only.

1. make an MS Paint crosshair

my ex.
ok now save it as png.

2.Open gimp and your crosshair file

3.On Layers click next to your crosshair and put Add Alpha Channel

Now it should look like this

4.On your opened file go to select and click by color

5.Now click on the white part of your crosshair it will now look like this

6.Now go to edit and click on Clear

WAZZAM!!!!!!!!!!!
Your Crosshair is TRANSPARENT

DO NOT SAVE IT NOW!!!!!!!!!

7.Now go to select and click on All

Now it should look like this

8.Now you can save it.
save it on the same one you started and replace it then click yes on everything that come after that

Great job.. I wnated one of these when I used GIMP. Now I moved up the programs ladder. Nice job this should help a lot of people.

DUDE... can anyone tell me how I can make those FS crosshairs? If I need a cerain prograim can you give me the site... i dun want to pay tho so yeah >_>... I've been usein my microsoft paintshop and it's not transparent so yeah

well, i make my fullscreens by using a screenshot with a template over it. (look for swordwhore's fullscreen template) then i just work with the hud like making shapes over it and adding effects. GIMP is a free program that you can make fullscreen crosshairs on. check out my stickied transperency thread for the link to the GIMP website.

just download gimp
2 programs needed but invadorzim has them in his stickys
and use this to make them tranparent
