Should sigs appeal to you or other people

Hey, I was just thinking about how sigs look good to the person who made them, but not other people. Then I thought "Hey, does that really matter?". Overall, I thought it mattered according to the person. To me, it should look better for other people. Discuss...

I think it appeals to both the maker and the audience. I think it'd be nice if one collaborates between each other to achieve a decent product.

Well yeah, that's your opinion =D

Anyways, the sig should look appealing to both. And you must get in your head that photoshoppers/fellow siggers tend to criticize more cause they know the capability of PS. Regular non-siggers tend to accept much less ^__^

LOL, QFT. I honestly thought that it mattered to only others and not the maker, but now after having my sigs being torn apart by others, I think that both are equally as important, but to others is a little bit more for Whist's reason.

Well, its a given that it should appeal to the person who created it. *shrugs* I really wouldn't care if everybody hated my sigs. Sure, I might go all "Nobody likes my sigs... /wrist," and not post anything. But I would still have them as my own signature. I'm that type of materialistic guy where everything needs to be at some-type of degree where its aesthetic. Everyones signatures are awesome, except for the ones where the creator just doesn't care and makes fun of the fact that its a signature.

Also, another thing that makes me angry is where the sig maker is awesome at signatures, but yet he puts others down just for the fact that it isn't as good as they could do.

Yeah, but theres alot of people that'll randomly say a sig fails just for the fact that its a post count. But then again most sigs might actually fail the them. xD

i think it's up to the person who made it and the people who might be viewing it

it's fine if you like it yourself and don't care what other people think of it but if you're going to post it on a forum for people to rate it or comment on it, then you should think about if it appeals to them as well.

when i make sigs i think of some of the people on gzf and wonder which ones will like it and which ones won't.
