Two easy sigs

Well seeing as I am new here to the forum, I decided to kick off my first thread with a request of criticism on these two signatures I made. They were relatively easy to design, and I did not use a single filter. Post questions or comments.

he prolly made the background first with a border an all, saved it, then added the dog pic in a new layer over the background

Erm, not very good at all. You seem to be familiar with the main functions of Photoshop so I'd advise you to look at some tutorials.

Well, as I said, they were easy to do.

Here is another random one I made, this is a lot better but I still didn't put much time into it.

I don't like borders that much. Just let this thread die already. Just some basic signatures I made and I wanted to see opinions on some of my easy-works.
