| Gunzfactorian Patriot | steer clear of all the filters, and start working on brushing. You can find some good ones browsing around on www.deviantart.com if you don't want to make your own |

| Gunzfactor Fan Artist | i'd say 1 and 6. cuz of the design and heres a few friendly hints: 1. text, unless its realy the subject, make it small, fonts dont REALY... matter. 2. borders. every sig has a border, it can be a 2/3 pix black line, or a nice futuristic border, like #5 3. color themes. very important. worked out well with #6 and #1, #4 didnt work out well. it just doesnt look that attractive so try and mix a few colors together, and see what looks best. then use that.Last edited by XenRail; 02-23-2006 at 12:58 AM. |

*agrees with the colour thing* 2's text blends in too much with the background. You have to stare at it for a while to notice there's a name in there. 3's text colour is too dark and bold for a light background. 5 is probably made with something called Adobe ImageReady. Never used it before, but I know but it's used to make animated gif's. @Shardy: The version of Photoshop (or whatever program one may use) does not have that much effect on the quality of stuff you produce. The only differences I see with higher versions is that you get more filters, tools and basically, simpler ways to do things. I read somewhere that filters actually limit peoples' creativity - I somewhat agree on that... they make some people extra lazy with actual editing. -Edit- Borders: There's a line or shape tool somewhere... it doesn't have to be complicated. I'd rather zoom in a ton and do things myself with the paintbrush or pencil. You could also consider leaving a consistent amount of space around the edges of a pic. | Gunzfactor Fan Artist | text is important, but if you want the sig to focus on some girl owning some dude or w/e then you dont want text in fontsize 30. so small is better ^_^ and ofcourse fonts should blend with the surroundings, i dont like pics where text is floating halfway the picture. |
