wtf's a topaz?

someone gave me an answer back then, i know it's a jewel or something like that, but wtf is it IN TERMS OF PHOTOSHOP TERMS?

yes i have bad sentence structure so if you can't understand this it's ok -.-

Its in the dropdown.
Theres a whole lot as well, like emerald, sapphire, etc etc.

I use Topaz often.

Topaz is a filter to improve image quality people say it makes a yellowish tint but im not sure since I dont really have it myself, although I do want it. It mostly used for touch-ups on photos and stuff.

Its a plugin. You download from TopazLabs and it costs like 40~60 USD if i remember last time i checked.
