Signatures...?

What exactly "is" a signature? I see pictures at the bottom of peoples comments. Is that what they are?

Signature is exactly what it means you have something at the bottom of each message that ends off your post just like you would end a letter or something but online it became a graphic thing is all .

yes, but not only. A signature can be a picture or text. Its shown at the bottum of each post u make under the __________________________
