Post The Final Decision

~~~Before you read~~~
I wrote this quite late at night, so there are some typos. I now have a seperate site, with some slightly advanced features for the writing. (Background pic, pure writing, no ads/other distractions, etc.)
The site is:
Chapter 1
It was a dark, rainy night. Christian was asleep in bed cuddled with Emma, and I was
putting my equipment away. I was exhausted, after a full day of training. As I as climbing into bed with Jesse, suddenly something broke the silence.
I could faintly hear it; it must've been 2 blocks around the Town. Gunshots and
screaming. I ran into the hallway and threw on all my equipment (Long white partial bullet proof jacket, along with the dark pants). I grabbed two shotguns, a pair of pistols, my phone, and katana right as I ran out the door.
By the time I got halfway there, I saw them in the street. Hundreds, marching down the streets killing all in their path. As I saw this I pulled out both shotguns. Suddenly, a
loud, long ringing went off. I saw the leader of them step up. He yelled, "Forfeit now, and you shall have a painless death!” I calmly responded "Your pathetic. A mere army of goblins won't stop me". Suddenly I saw him signal to charge me.
I quickly began firing both shotguns, until I had to reload both. Then they were within
50 feet, and I had to prepare for close range combat. I pulled into one of my strongest
techniques, "The Slash Shoot". It required moving in air at a quick rate, whilst firing.
As they closed in, I realized Slash shoot wouldn’t save me now. I immediately stopped and pulled out something I always left in my jacket. A string of 8 grenades. I ripped off the caps all in one motion, and threw them right to the middle of the army. This ripped off about 70% of them. I easily finished the rest with some slash shooting.
I suddenly realized, I left my home, my family all alone. I darted going at least 30mph
to my house. As I got there I heard screams and saw Jessica, holding tightly to Christian
and Emma, being dragged away in the army. I ran at them but was caught and shoved to a dark alley.
Chapter 2
"Stop!" he commanded, "They'll torture you and any prisoners on sight!” "They have my family! I must stop them!” I commanded back as I struggled to get away. "They'll torture them bit by bit, if they see you. You'll have your chance later to get them back", he told. I now knew, my family was gone, and it will be a while until I'll set them free.
The man let me go and introduced him self, "My name is Arkiado, and in some cases you can call me Alucard". I thought "some situations?". He responded right after, "I mean...It's complicated". I was confused but then he went on, "I once lead a dark, dark past, so evil I can never share with you. Due to some things, I now have 2 forms, Arkiado, my controlled weaker form, and Alucard, my dark slightly controlled form with full strength". It began to make sense to me, and then I just realized, we may work together in saving many lives.
I somehow must have fallen asleep, since now it was light out, and the streets were full
with people. I stood up then Arkiado pulled me down and whispered, "Don't get up! Look at those people...Look at the faces, the bodies! Those aren't people...!". I just realized we were facing something much darker than goblins, or evil humans. They must have somehow been mutated, as they seemed deformed.
Arkiado told me grab me weapons, we're taking these guys down. He handed me a white hat, and put on a black one. Then he made me conceal my face, then we walked through the town. He stood and brought me up to some higher land. He hinted for me to pull out my sword and shotgun. We lifted our hats, and he yelled, "There are 2 people in this world. The lucky ones who are alive, and the unlucky ones, who are dead. Your all going to join the unlucky!", and he threw 20 grenades to the largest part of the crowd.
Suddenly, we were being dragged down. "USE YOUR GUN!", Arkiado shouted. I cut 2 of "them" in half and blew the heads off of numerous ones. I suddenly formed a large, mass growing circle until I heard Arkiado screaming "AAAAAAAHHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!". I looked and suddenly saw a flashing dark light, and everything around me had been destroyed. There he stood. Not Arkiado, but Alucard.
He spoke, "We must act quickly. Last night, Arkiado used your phone to call and alert several sources. Tonight we are to meet and break the prisoners out. They are being kept at a far away, dark castle. According to our spies, they will be burnt alive for a feast.
We will catch up with the others and infiltrate the base. You will have your family back
together.
Chapter 3
I nearly collapsed at all he said. Burnt alive?! Suddenly I felt darker, stronger, and more anger & frustration I've ever known to exist. Then, I lifted my sword and said, "I will destroy each one, the children, the women, even the babies. I will kill them all with my bare hands if I have to. They will not see the last of me". I wasn't even thinking as I talked. Something was changing. I heard a faint voice "Don't become one of us...Don't change, don't change...".
It was nighttime, and Alucard and me were running down the streets until we could see a castle not so far away. A black man, with barbaric looking clothes approached and began talking. "Heh, so Alucard was pulled out to fight, eh? Well all right. Our troops are armed with fire slings. We'll have "him" fly in through the crack we open up". I didn't quite understand what he said with "him", but I had little time for questions so I just did as I was told.
We were all in a line moving in, hidden under blanket-like rocks. When we got close, I
pulled out my shotgun and sword, to prepare for battle. Suddenly I heard a screech. Every man jumped and threw their slings directly at the guard men.
There were at least 500 soldiers around me. They were all throwing picks with ropes on the ends, at the large castle door. It appears they are trying to rip down the door. I didn't believe it until the door began to open.
I was grabbed by Alucard and he yelled "GET THE HELL IN THERE!!!” I was being shoved, and it suddenly seemed I was had to fly through the crack in the door. I realized, it was for everyone kept there and in seconds I had flown through the crack.
There were at least 30 guards in armor waiting for me. They just came at me with swords. I drew my sword and began an ancient move known as, "The Butterfly". As I finished I released the door. Alucard lead the army in and we ran down the castle halls. I was suddenly yelling at them "SPEED THE HELL UP! CMON GO GO GO!!!!!” I never felt this way before. I knew I couldn't let them hurt my family and suddenly was going at least 3 times as fast as everyone around me.
We had reached the main room, and the burnings were about to begin. I shot the lead man and began screaming. I immediately ran into combat, killing all in my path. Soon a man yelled and pulled two rocket launchers out, and then I simply cut the ends of the rockets and
shot the man in the head 3 times without hesitating. I saw my Jesse, sitting there with a shot in her stomach. I ran to her sobbing. "So-soma?" she said quietly. I tried to respond between the cries "He-hey...", I couldn't form words. "Protect the kids..Don't let them get hurt..protect them..protect them" she said and I saw her final breath. At that moment my crying ended, and then I suddenly found myself standing. I turned around and saw at least 10 men, in leather-bound suits with shotguns and katana's ready. I looked at them with cold in my eyes saying "You did this...I've had all the hell I can take from you guys".
I immediately dashed at them, firing at least 3 shots per 5 seconds. I was ripping them
down, 2 by 2! Until I saw one man who dropped his weapons pleading "Please I have a wife and-", I shot him and spoke, "I had a wife...”
When the army and Alucard (Well, now what was Arkiado) caught up they all stood there staring at me. I noticed Arkiado was holding something in his arms. Then I saw them, my boy and girl...I collapsed into the army's leaders arms. He picked me up, and gave me one of the deepest looks of empathy and nearly whispered, "I know...I know...”
Arkiado came and handed me both of my children. They were sound asleep. Arkiado began talking, but I heard nothing. I just watched and then as I collapsed, felt my daughter and son swept from my arms and Arkiado caught me. Then everything had faded out.
Chapter 4
I woke up, and could barely remember what had happened. As I slowly got up I jumped and looked around. I thought where was everyone. There was a light, misty fog around me and then I began searching the area.
I entered the castle through the back, and felt something dark…Something more dark and evil then I’ve ever known before. I heard screams of sorrow, and began to see bones. As I looked up I saw 3 deformed creatures feasting off what seemed to be soldiers from the army. I ran at them screaming, “GET THE HELL AWAY!”. I began destroying the creatures. I ripped them apart piece by piece, until I realized I was holding just the remains of them.
I saw the soldier was already dead, and looked around. I began thinking, what the hell’s been going on. I found in the soldier’s hand a piece of paper. I opened the paper, to find a letter written inside.
It read, “Soma, I have little time to write. You were knocked out by a 4’ long boulder. Apparently, we were only fighting a mere 2% of the army. We were retreating through the castles, and “they” just passed you assuming you were dead. Most of the army’s been taken down. I have Emma and Christian. Soma, if I never see you again, you can trust I’ll be torn to bits, rather than let these children be touched”.
I stood there, shivering at the thought of never seeing my children again. Before I knew it, I was running through the castle, set on a search and destroy mission.
Chapter 5
Before I could make a second thought, I was at the castle main door. I searched around, looking for hints of any kind Aikaido might’ve left. Within minutes another letter I found hidden under the rug. I read it silently, “Soma, I’m the last one left. The soldiers’ are powerful and dangerous. Right now, the entire castle guards are busy with at least one mission. I found an escape route, and I’ll be back at the Town. Hopefully there it will be safe”.
Acting quickly, I was able to find some clues of where Arkiado escaped, and followed through with the same route. It took only about 8 minutes, until I was on the same route I took to get to the castle.
Then it took about 19 more minutes, and I could faintly see the Town was within 300 yards.
As I entered the town, I saw the left over bodies Alucard and I had left. I tried to avoid them and get to the remains of my house. Of course, a house is a house, and I saw it within seconds.
The door was locked, and appeared to be barricaded from the inside. I tried to knock, and was greeted with several shots through my window. I broke down the door and jumped on the ground incase someone was trying to shoot “intruders”. It was silent. I slowly stood and immediately was pinned down by three tall black men.
“Who are you, and where do you come from!”, one demanded. They all began asking questions, and then slowed down and waited for me to answer. I responded, “This is my home, I’ve returned from a long journey, and am looking for a friend who I was separated from”. They then let go of me and helped me up. “I apologize”, one said, “We have to be cautious after this major intrusion. Let me introduce myself, I’m Jjay, [Juh-ay with a slur on the J], the shorter guy is James, and the other one is Joe. You can refer to use as the ‘3 Jays’”.
The canny joke wasn’t helping me at all. I explained a summed up version of what had happened, and then they assisted me in searching. After an hour of searching Jjay found a note concealed tightly in one of my model shotguns. He gave it to me so I could read it first. It read, “It’s not safe here. Soma leave now. There are random deformed creatures, acting as humans. If you come in counter with any in this town destroy them. They are powerful, and tricky. They show no mercy, Soma. No mercy”.
“So what’s it say”, Jjay demanded. I slowly backed up toward my heavy machine gun. I told him, “It said to get to the weaponry outhouse. There’s many dangerous creatures going and feasting off humans. Jjay, and the others agreed to come and grab supplies. Once they were in the house I ran out, threw in 14 grenades ready for detonation, then slammed the door shut.
I heard screeches, then after the explosion it went silent. I opened the doors, to find the creatures had changed forms, and were armed with pistols and rifles, ready in hand.
Chapter 6
I ran out of town, trying to hide. I saw groups of those creatures, going into my friend’s homes. I wanted to destroy them, but I knew I had little time.
Within minutes, I was at the end of the town. I would be able to find Arkiado in the City. Well I thought, I’d better go. As I was leaving suddenly an old neighbor yelled, “Hey budddyyyy!”. The voice sounded similar, but I could tell a creature had seen me. I couldn’t lead him to the city, so I would have to fight him here and now.
I turned around pulled out my shotgun and aimed it at his head. “Hey, what-“, I interrupted “Shut your trap! You die here and now, capache?”. He stared at me, and I saw him slowly reaching towards his pistol in his pocket. So I wouldn’t alert others, I charged him and stabbed him in the gut, with my dagger. Then I headed off, to the city.
I arrived quite quickly, and saw everything appeared normal. Now it would be easy to find Arkiado. I knew he must’ve been hidden in a small, dark, place. I looked for hours, but found nothing but the usual street urchins.
Suddenly, I passed a bar. This was no normal bar. Only the either monsters, or people…people like, well “us” could get in. It was a sort of “safe zone” for anyone. I ran inside, and to get past the guard he needed to prove I was amazing. I tried slash shot, but he simply stared and blocked with a katana.
Then I remembered one ancient move. I could never do it, but the steps were always in my mind. “To see my daughter, to see me son”, I kept thinking. Then I stood up and began to remember the steps. This move was known as “Half step”. It was amazing, as you could literally fly in the air, and fire.
As I focused, I began the move. The man laughed at my mistakes, and then I became frustrated. Soon anger came, and then I felt that same dark feeling I felt in the town, the dark feeling I always feared. I began half-stepping at a perfect rate. “Alright, you can go on in”, the guard said with a bored expression.
I began half-stepping faster. I felt angered still with the guard. I began shooting. “WHAT THE! STOP STO-“… I began shooting the guard until he was dead on the floor. I laughed and spat at him. I began thinking, this isn’t me. Wha-what is happening! I was losing control, but when I entered the club, I remained calm.
I looked for a smaller private room. I saw one of the main hotel rooms. I was able to sneak up to the counter and check the registry. I scrolled the list until I found 3 interesting ones. “None of your business”, “Private”, “Training”. I had to search each one, if I hoped in finding Arkiado. Well, simple enough I did.
First I knocked on training, and was responded with a letter under the door. It read, “If you desire to live, move away from my door in 5 seconds”. Right as I finished it through the wall 3 shots came, then I jumped away from the door, and 3 shots came through the door. Apparently, it was the wrong room.
Next I checked Private. A friendly katana coming through the door, was my gift. I jumped away and fell into a room. As I looked around, it appeared to be my third room. I searched every room, but it was empty. Frustrated I leaned my head against the wall. Then I felt the wall push in a little. I got up to see what I did. Suddenly, a staircase came down from the ceiling. Something was hidden here.
I pulled out my shotgun, and slowly went up the staircase. When I reached the top, I saw a rope drop. A piece of paper was on it. I took it out and read it, “Soma, if this is you, take off your white jacket and toss it up”. Arkiado must’ve been secure, so I did as he requested. Then, I was holding the rope, waiting for a response, and the rope lifted me up high above, wherever the stairs could go.
I reached the top, and was greeted by Arkiado. He helped me up, and was telling me how worried he was. Suddenly as he talked, he would twitch. Arkiado never had twitched. I asked for my jacket, and he began talking about it, and I began to demand for my jacket. He gave me an odd look. I saw him began to search my jacket. I forgotten I left a string of grenades in there, he might need them.
I began to realize this wasn’t Arkiado. He silently searched, without saying a word. Then I knew it wasn’t him and I pulled out my dagger and stabbed him in the back. He turned and stood straight up. He pulled the dagger out and tried to stab me. I simply grabbed his hand. He seemed, inhuman. Almost like a zombie…
We stood there, silently fighting. I felt there is only one way to end this. I let go of his hand and dashed to the side. I ripped out my katana and slashed the imposter’s head off. I put my jacket on, and found a note in his pocket. This note, looked like the exact same paper the real Arkiado wrote on. It read, “Soma. This City is the armies’ next victim. Leave it now. You have little time. You can catch up with me in the old Hakabua Shrine”. I realized, that nowhere was safe, not even home. I came down the rope, and got ready to get the hell out of there.
Chapter 7
I came out of the room, and was greeted by some friendly, half-breed creatures. They asked I come outside to join em and smoke. “No thanks I don’t smoke”, I responded trying to sound careless. They began to grow angry, and demanded me to come, “C’mon! They’re fun. We just wanna see a friendly human, and…”, I stopped and pulled out my 30 string grenade set. They backed away, and gave me a snarl.
I ran outside, and began running down the streets. Soon I heard the long, ring I once heard back in my home. I could hear them getting close by the moment, hunting us down. I had to run, I had to get to the Shrine. I could see them behind me within 500 feet. They seemed at least 30 times larger than the old army. I knew I could take them, but that would bring no good.
I began running faster than ever before. Sprinting at least 50mph. The army I began to realize, wasn’t running, but were on cars. They were all driving to me. I sped up to an incredibly fast speed. Maybe 75mph. I felt them closing in. I pulled the string on my grenades and threw them 200 feet from the cars. I heard them all trying to pull the breaks then, the grenades went off wiping out about 10% of the army. I looked back to find them all halted behind the explosion. I sighed with relief, and just began jogging at 10-30mph, to save my energy.
Next, I saw it. The Hakabu Mountain. I knew climbing would normally take 3 days. Luckily, I remembered the old route I would take as a child. It only took a 2-hour walk. At my age, I could probably run it in 10 minutes. I chose the quicker way, and sprinted.
I finally reached the top, and could see smoke coming from the old house, that I once lived in. That meant the fireplace had a fire going. I walked slowly, to keep my heart rate steady. As I walked up to the door, I knocked. I heard everything stop. The crackling of the fire, the lights in the rooms. They all went out, and stopped. I realized, Arkiado didn’t know it was me. I simply shouted, “Arkiado, it’s Soma. I got your notes. It’s okay, can I come in?”. Immediately everything went back to normal, and the door swung open.
Arkiado had nearly dragged me inside. I could smell some food cooking, and was reminded how I had eaten for days. Arkiado began talking, “Oh god soma you made it! The children are playing in the living room and-“, I stopped and ran to the room. There they were. Little Emma and Christian. I was so happy and slided in and picked them up. They didn’t cry but happily spat up, and enjoyed being swung around in circles. I was so happy I hugged them for a few minutes, until Arkiado came back in.
“Oh yes, the children were okay the whole time. I was staying so far ahead of you, so they wouldn’t have to even hear those..monsters footsteps, hear them breath, hear or see them”, Arkiado said with concern, but care. “Arkiado, I was worried I’d never make it to my children. That they’d never live. I don’t know what to do, as words and tasks cannot make up for this”, I said. “Soma,” Arkiado began talking, “It’s okay. These children, one day will grow up to be like you, making this world safe. You raising this children is the way you pay me back”. I nodded with approval, and set the children down.
I watched them, and decided I would never leave them. I’d have them sleep in a playpen in my room. They could stay with me, until we had this hell sorted out. “Dinners ready”, Arkiado said and I picked up the children and went over to the table.
Chapter 9
After dinner, I slept in the living room with Christian and Emma on laying right on my chest. After Arkiado and I were asleep I suddenly heard something. I looked up and noticed I was in the corner of the room, with bruises and scars all over me. I was in massive pain, but when I looked up it didn’t compare to what I saw.
A man almost identical to myself, (Except in what appeared an older, darker, more evil form) had Christian and Emma, and was preparing to leave. I was about to charge, but was far too wary to even stand. I noticed Arkiado above me, and was using all his muscle to hide in the shadows, both arms clinged to the corners of the walls. He understood something about this man, which made him so powerful.
I saw the man dash out, and I sprinted up, ignoring every pain, and used all life energy that was stolen from me, to chase him. I ran forgetting I had left Arkiado there. I felt a dark feeling approaching. I sprinted to get away from this darkness, and catch the man. But the exact opposite is what I got.
Suddenly I was grabbed by the arms, and was shoved and dragged for a while, with my eyes frozen shut from pain. I looked up to find Alucard keeping me ahead to catch the man. Suddenly, I realized this was unlike before. He may destroy them, without a trace. This anger, the darkness I had always feared and prayed would never returned, came again. I felt stronger, and suddenly I felt no pain. Before I could think, I was speeding over 10 feet-per-second faster than Alucard, and was gaining on this dark man rapidly.
I soon saw it. A village, and a shrine all set up for some ceremony. I had forgotten, about the “burnings” that never were completed. The rage, the darkness, the coldness within my eyes all increased. I had arrived too late as the ceremony was beginning. “Welcome, welcome! I am Shra-ubakaH”, the dark man shouted. “I’d like to notice our attention on our expected guess, Soma Cruz!” I saw them in shock staring at me with dark smiles. I could feel something more dark and evil I would ever know, was upon us.
I saw a portal open near the shrine and the man was yelling over the flames of this portal “This is a portal, that will take me into the World of Shrinaye! In Shrinaye 1 year is equal to 10 minutes! I suppose I shall see you in 2 hours Soma, with the new powerful warriors, Christian the Dark, and Xeneria-ammE the Dispised Dark lord!”. I stood there in shock. I could barely form words. I realized, he could change my son and daughter, into the monsters I came to destroy. With this, the darkness that removed my pain once forth had been awoken. A darkness I feared ever since I was born.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGG GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG”, I screeched a scream of anger, sorrow, and frustration as I sprinted at the monsters I had sworn to destroy with my bare hands. I began stabbing and shooting and killing all in my site. Soon after I was overrun and being murdered. I began to close my eyes, until I heard something. I heard a cry. The cry of my daughter. I lifted a nearby string of grenades. I pulled them and flung grenades randomly, until everything around me was either destroyed, or 50 feet away. I saw the portal was closed, and suddenly felt the darkness within, had been angered.
I turned to what appeared the leader. He was frozen in fear. I looked at myself, as I didn’t expect to be scared of someone at my size. I looked down and saw a dark cloak, and different weapons and supplies they had never worn. Soon I recognized how I looked. I was in a dark form, such as Alucard, with a much more powerful power. I looked up and let out a long, disturbing screech. I threw all my grenades directly at the men infront, then as they ran in fear I began shooting them down 1 by 1. I heard screams until, after a good 2 and a half hours, they were gone.
Chapter 10
I realized what had just happened. 15 years of my children’s life was stolen, and now they my little boy and girl were corrupted. I began the screech in a different form, until the flames of the dark portal appeared. I saw someone within in the flames stand. “Protect the children…protect the children”, the form said. I had stood there and could barely realize what happened. Then I entered the portal, prepared, back in a normal form.
I looked and saw a bright room. Perfect to train, and perfect to hide in. I quickly searched until I found nothing. I sat down on the step of the bright rooms stairs until I heard a young boy yell. “Fr-freeze! Drop yo-your weapons!”. I stood up and looked the young man directly in the eye. “Christian…”, I quietly whispered. “Ho-how’d you know that!?”. I stood there and realized what happened. He lifted the gun and told me again to drop my weapons. I responded, “You think a gun alone, can stop a man of “dark” power? I assume the man has been feeding you the usual lies…”. I heard another yell, though with a higher tone “Shoot him, Christian!”. I turned around and saw a young lady standing.
Then the dark voice, I hated for what in this world, was over 15 years. “Ha-ha-ha! You finally showed up. Glad to see you again”. I turned around and ran to him and ripped him off his legs, and jammed him into a wall so hard he began coughing blood. "I saw the darkness, and happiness through his eyes. He had a sinister darker plan than I suspected”. “Let go of him!”, I heard screamed and the loading of a gun followed by it. I dropped him and turned around and faced Christopher. “You got something to settle with me? Fine shoot me”, I said surprising even myself, “Here I’ll even remove my jacket, so the bullets go in. Sound good?”. He stood in shock, and after a minute responded shakingly, “No! I want you to die in a real duel! I want to see the light leave your eyes!”. I was overwhelmed with anger, and thought if he wants a real fight, he’ll get a real fight.
I put on my equipment, and began to feel the dark feeling again. I felt myself forming a dark firey circle around my son and I. He was in shock, and I began speaking words I could not understand. Then as they formed I heard them, “We will fight to the death. The circle will prevent outside interruptions or attempts to escape. May the loser perish from this world for eternity”. Then I bowed, and prepared for battle.
I saw Christian, in shock, then I made the first move dashing at him and firing, without holding back. Within seconds all his protective clothing was pierced to scraps, and when he pulled out his heavy machine gun, I simply bent the barrel backwards. He sat in shock, then smiled and said, “I guess you lose afterall”. As he said this, I turned around and used all my power to form a transparent, shield of some sort. It was stronger than titanium and I used it to block “him” from attempting to kill me. I looked back and saw my son in horror, and soon he was on his knees, pleading to make it “Quick and painless”. Those words haunted my mind, once as did a dark man in my town had said.
The dark cloak, my dark feelings faded. I removed my current coat, and dropped a heavily loaded pistol near Christian. I slowly backed up and fell against the firey wall, and as I said being burned, the pain was nothing as to what I just felt. Christian picked it up, and aimed it at me but couldn’t fire. “Kill me now, I no longer have nothing to live for”. I noticed tears were on his face. He never wanted to fight. I looked behind the wall, and saw Emma sobbing. I realized, they never wanted to be here. They were born to be free, and I was going to keep them free.
Chapter 11
I stood and as I approached Christian he aimed the gun higher, to keep me back. “We both don’t want to be here fighting. I ask you why fight? Why destroy the one who once watched over you? Why I ask? Just why?”, I began questioning as I got close enough to talk to Christopher. He dropped the gun with open arms hugging me, with the tears still falling. Soon the firey flames were gone and Emma ran in. I looked up and saw her with a strict face, and a gun aimed at me. Christian, had an ounce of purity, Emma had lost control.
“He’s an enemy Christian! Get away!”, she sternly shouted. I knew nothing would save me. I could fight, but I began forming words, without thinking this time not controlled by a darkness, nor myself, “I am tired. I don’t want to fight. Go ahead shoot me. We both know, you turned and don’t even care anymore. You’re a heartless soul, I’m a dark man who kept you alive, with bloody hands. Shoot me, I beg of you. End my misery.
Then she began shooting. I felt the bullets enter me, as I fell on my knees with the dark, cold despair and sorrow showing in tears. I wanted to be dead. But I wouldn’t die. I had fallen backwards into the firey wall, once again. She looked at me, and words that felt to be my final, spoke again. “You look just like your mother. Emma, when I am gone, there is a locket in my shirt. The locket is a song your mother would sing, as I played quietly on guitar. It was your lullaby. I want you to have it.
As she stood with disbelief, she shot again and I looked down to notice not one shot hit me. I looked down to find every bullet was blocked by a much brighter coat, that wasn’t mine. Then a so familiar song played, within a locket I kept close to my heart. I removed it and held it up. Then Emma and Christian had ran over to me. I slided away from the remains of the firey wall and handed Emma the locket. She had pushed it back gently at me, and hugged me along with Christian. We all sat there together, at last. This peace wasn’t lasting long until I heard shouts and screams.
I saw the man coming at me with shotguns yelling “Move he is corrupting your mind! MOOOOVEEE!”. I then stood and as the bullets were being fired, everything seemed slower. I had grabbed the shells and thrown them with all my energy back at the man. Suddenly, I blinked and saw “him” on the floor, with shotgun shells, and blood all around him.
I looked back at Emma and Christian, and they took my hands and looked at me with such love and ashament, I’d never known it existed. I hugged them one more time briefly, and we walked out of the portal, and left the dark man, dead, alone, and desperate. We were greeted by Arkiado, and many reporters yelling questions. Within the crowd, I realized, the men I faced before. They were the remainders of the army. They were what were left. I kept Christian and Emma close, so we wouldn’t be split up. Arkiado was taking care of all business problems and questions, as reporters became organized and asked questions one by one “How did you destroy the army of hell, while under the influence of darkness yourself?”. I paused then held Christian and Emma a little closer, and responded “There was one thing in this world that can defeat darkness. Love. It saved me from destroying the world, from losing my children. I lost my wife from it, but it protected my children and I”. The reporters stopped questioning and stopped taking pictures, and I noticed Arkiado approached us.
Arkiado told us, all legal matters were being sorted out. The Hakabu shrine was in perfect condition, and was still our safe house. He whispered to tell us we should follow him when he gives the signal. Within seconds a smoke grenade went off, and I realized Alucard had me and the children sprinting up the hills. Once we were halfway there, Arkiado was resummoned.
As I entered the house, I finally realized the war, the fighting, the battle had ended. Once and for all, it was over.
There it is! The story was finished, with about 5 hours of work. I hope you enjoyed it, and expect this story, to never truly end.
Quick off-note: Everynight, a kid goes to sleep, from being exhausted. My mind never tires, and to go to sleep, I simply write stories in my head. This was my latest one, and I shortened it by what would be about 255 pages. Expect sequels. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did writing it.
