![]() ![]() ![]() | Its time once again for................. ![]() GOD-SPLITTER'S ANNUAL DESIGN YOUR OWN ARTIFACT CONTEST! Oh yes Gentlemen and the few ladies lurking around here! The year as rolled by quickly and Of Angels and Demons is STILL GOING BABY! Every year, Players and Non-Players can get their chance at creating and designing their own custom Artifacts to be feature in the RPG! The rules are simple and the same as last year so for all the losers take heart and try again! Using the numerous, wonderful powers listed in the Artifacts selection, Players are asked to use their imaginations to craft a power weapon wield by players of the RPG, and for one thing, these players will need it! Will your Artifact be one of the fabled weapons of Legend within the world of GunZ? Perhaps it will be the latest gadget invited by World Wide Companies like Maxwell Corporations? Or will it be the Magical remains of an Ancient Animal? The possibilities are endless, it's up for you to create! One entry allowed per poster. Returning-Entires from Last Year NOT ALLOWED. Remember Folks, lower level Artifacts are more likely to win then Higher level ones unless they have AWESOME and I mean AWESOME History, Name, and Powers. Non-Players allowed to post! Posts can't be edit once you summit it, so you guys better make them PERFECT. PERFECT! And always remember, THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE WINNER! Last Year's Winner, Zephyre's Tempest Name: Tempest Forces: Neutral History: A magnificent katana forged with a fusion of minerals from Gehda and a mystical metal mined from the mountains of Axesium. It was created and given to the Pistol Ninja to replace his stock Axium military sword as part of his field gear upon completion of his training. It has served him well during all its time in service and has proven to be more effective and durable than normal swords. Its power slowly increased as each living individual was slain by it, causing it to become what it is now. Powers granted: - User becomes lighter, and the effect of gravity on the user becomes weaker. - Slightly increased speed. - The blade is an excellent conductor of magical energy, so powerful magical attacks can be channeled through it. - The blade is able to cut through any form of matter more easily than other swords. Corrupted Powers Granted: - Channeled magical energy becomes more uncontrollable and destructive, and may even cause harm to its user. - User is able to bend the effects of gravity on him or her to his or her will. ![]() ![]() ![]() | List of Artifact Powers Supreme Ascension - Players who have Ascension can ONLY be killed with an Artifact that has the God-Killer power. Artifact Destroyer - Grants the power to destroy other Artifacts. Rules state if both opposing Artifacts have this power, the one with the higher level will win. When an opposing lower level Artifact has the Artifact Destroyer ability and uses it against a higher level Artifact, the effect is negated. If both are the same level, both Artifacts will be destroyed. Cold Manipulation - The ability to control every aspect of water. To shape and freeze water at ones will. Can form Blizzards and control Floods. Demon Fire - Demon Fire fuels the only the mightest forges of Burning Hell. Demon Fire hot enough to burn threw anything, not in normal fire, it emitts a eerie green color. Domination - Complete and total domination over the forces of Burning Hell. Dragon Caller - the mighty Dragons of Astra now obey your every command to every letter! Earth Manipulation - The ability to control every aspect of the Physical Earth. Players rip apart ground and create Earthquakes. Electricity Manipulation - The ability to control every aspect of Electricity. Players can call and guide Electricity to wherever he pleases, control and create Lightning Storms. Exhaustion-Free - Player is no longer effected by Exhaustion. Fire Manipulation - The ability to control every aspect of Fire. The power to generate and direct fire to where ever one wants, can guide and control Lava flows. God-Killer- The ONLY power granted by an Artifact able to harm/kill one with Ascension. Growth Manipulation - The ability to control one's growth. To shrink or grow one's size. Immortality - Ability to live forever. To live even under extreme amounts of damage. Decapitation will negate the powers of Immortality. Intangibility - Ability to phase through solid matter & attacks without harm. Lordship - Lordship over the forces of High Heaven. Levitation - The power to suspend any objects against the force of Gravity. Matter Ingestion - Ability to consume any sort of matter without any ill effects on the holder. Transform - Ability to change one's appearance to any player and limbs into melee weapons. Magic Immunity - Total immunity over the Magical Arts. (Holy, Demonic, Natural) Natural Immunity - Total immunity over the Elements. Resurrection - Ability to resurrect others. Person can only be resurrected once; self resurrection is not possible. Self Regeneration - The power to regenerate ANY lost limb, or reassemble one’s body after fatal damage. Sever - The Artifact can cut through any material. CAN NOT destroy other Artifacts. Super Strength - Artifact grants the holder Super Strength. Telekinesis - Ability to manipulate and control objects with the mind. Telekinesis will cause Exhaustion. Champion Acid Generation - Ability to generate acid; can be manifested through touch or as a spray. Angel Slayer - Artifact is highly effective against the forces of High Heaven Animal communication- Ability to talk to Animals or Myth Creatures Creature Summoning - The power to summon Magical Creatures of GunZ Lore. (Goblins, Skeletons, etc) Demon Slayer - Artifact is highly effective against the forces of Burning Hell. Duplication - The Artifact grants the ability to create physical clones of themselves. Elemental Attack - Artifact changes users attack to any of the four elements, Fire, Ice, Electricity or Wind. Force Shielding - Ability to generate a force shield ONLY around the holder. Force Shield Generation - Ability to generate a Force Shield to protect any object. Force Shielding will cause Exhaustion. Healing - Ability to heal the wounds of others. Can not regenerate lost limbs or extreme amounts of damage. Kingship - The command of Axium is now yours! Lord of the Damned - The command of Burning Hell's undead Skeleton Legions and humanoid Zombies is now yours! Natural Resistance - Resistance against harm from the Natural Elements. Precision Shooting - Artifact grants PERFECT AIM. Rock-Hide - Holder can shug off most physical attacks, negates attacks from Sharpened Artifacts, DOES NOT NEGATE ARMOR PIERCING. Shield Piercing - Attacks now can penetrate Force Shields. Shoot First - Holder will always shoot first. Enchanted Armor Piercing - Artifact grants armor piercing projectiles. Boneshifting - Ability to manipulate the bones in one's own body. Bullet Proof - Holder is given protection against bullets. Armor Piercing Bullets will still be dangerous. Channeller - Artifact increases the holder's magic attacks. The higher the character's skill with magic, the more damage Channeller will increase. (Example: Channeller will work better with a mage who’s more skilled with magic, then a soldier.) Deflection - Artifact grants holder the ability to deflect lasers and beams. Enhanced Reflexes - Holder is able to move, jump, dodge and attack easier then before. Escape - The Artifact grants the holder power to escape physical holds. Example: Bear Hugs. Ice Enchanted - Attacks now have Ice Damage. Invisibility - Holder can cloak with the Environment and can move undetected. Flight - Artifact grants the ability to fly. Massive Strike - Holder can Charge Up an attacks to stun their enemies for short periods of time. Magic Resistance - Holder now has LIMITED Magic Resistance. Night Vision - Artifact enhances the Holder's vision in Darkness Reflection - Artifact can reflect back beam, laser, and energy attacks back at the source. (Effectiveness depends on Power Level, Higher attacks made by Artifacts are not reflected if the reflecting Artifact is a lower level) Sharpened - An Artifact with Sharpened allows it to cut weaker metal and other objects more easily. Teleportation - Ability to move from one place to another without occupying the space in between. Novice Angelic Wings - Holder will sprout Angel Wings behind his/her back. Bind - Artifact binds to holder. Binding prevents holder from trading Artifact with another. Artifacts with bind can only be obtain by killing the holder. Chaos - Holder is bound to the will of the Dark Lord forever. Corruption - Holder will slowy lose control of themselves and attack others over time. Decapitation - Artifact can negate the effects of Immortality. If opponent has Ascension along with Immortality, Decapitation is required along with God-Killer to negate the effects of Immortality. All swords are have this power. Demonic Wings - Holder will sprout Demonic Wings behind his/her back. Exaustion - Certain powers will have the after effects of Exhaustion. Exhaustion will force the holder to rest before any other action. Glow - Artifact glows in the dark. Glowy Eyes - The eyes of the holder will glow with a heavenly flare. Halo - A golden Halo will appear above holder's head. Hellspawn - Creatures from the deepest pits of Burning Hell, all Hellspawns have the power of Acid Generation, and only the Elite Hellspawns have the ability to Transform and Self Regeneration Horns - Holder will sprout long Demonic Horns from their head. Incorruptible - Artifact can't be corrupted. Powerless - Certain Artifacts when corrupted will be rendered powerless, stripped of its powers. Powerless can be negated by reversing the effects of corruption. Once powerless, Artifacts can be destroyed WITHOUT the Artifact Destroyer power. Sentient - Artifact will interact with the Holder, verbally or mentally. Shell - Artifact can be used as ammo. Tainted - The appearance of the Artifact will decay. (Rust, cracks, scratches will appear) Tainted does not effect the Artifact's function. X (Number) - X Number of the same Artifacts exists. DEADLINE BY 7/4/08 12:00 AM Eastern Time CLOSED! No point making room for something only a 'select' amount of people would join! We're making them lose space as it is...Geez. I thought you wrote of those "Clockwork Romance" things again, and here I am, disappointed. Yes, I like reading people's publishing. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | I also thought it'll be Clockwork Romance, but this was a pleasant surprise. I guess Bub's Chewie Biscuits are unlikely to win this time. How about a brand new artifact, called: "Bub's Mushy Crackers?!" Awesome, right? |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | Name: Darkhand Metal (gauntlets and greaves) Picture: ![]() ^ This is how the demon looked like, so the armor should look something like that. It's not the sword, its the gauntlets and greaves. Weapons spawned/metal plates resemble that look. Forces: Good History: The Darkhand Metal gauntlets and greaves were said to have first originated from a dark, hellish demon made of pure metal who resembled a black knight. He was defeated by a legendary warrior, who severed his limbs and brought them to a well-known forge. From there, the smiths have modified the severed limbs and re-crafted them for human use, and then delivered back to the warrior. Shortly, the people who had been in contact with the gauntlets and greaves have gone mad, including the smiths. However, it seemed that the righteous warrior was not affected. Worrying that the corruption would eventually affect him, he found a fountain of pure, holy water and dipped the artifact in it, weakening the influence of the artifact. He continued to wear and use the artifact, eventually taming them to become obedient to the user. However, he also discovered that should the user bring about a strong, evil influence, the gauntlets would start to gain a life of its own and try to bend its host to its will, in an attempt to return as the very demon it once was. For many years, the warrior has used this artifact and has become more than just a legend. He eventually passed away, but the whereabouts of the artifact has not been heard of since. Powers Granted: 1. Metal Formation – The user is granted the ability to form metal plates, acting as either a shield or as armor or even melee weapons that are stuck onto his body. It takes a very short while to form and disintegrate, which makes it useful for defense. However, the downfall is that these extremely tough, summoned metal plates (can deflect, almost unbreakable unless you have high-level armor piercing) are very heavy, greatly reducing movement speed. It is not advisable to stay on the defensive for too long or to activate too many plates at once. The armor only activates on the user’s control ; if he is caught off-guard, the metal plates will NOT activate themselves to protect its user. 2. Spawned Metal – In addition to forming weapons that are stuck onto the user’s body as if it were skin, the user can spawn various metallic weapons, such as additional guns or other forms of ranged weaponry. However, unlike the heavy metal plates that can be formed on the body, the quality of such lighter, spawned weapons is very poor and cannot be enchanted with any magical power at all ; it can be destroyed easily. Corrupted Powers Granted: 1. Dark Influence – When corrupted, the user will very slowly, over time, gain a dark influence. He may suddenly lose control over himself and be bent to the will of the weapon itself, which can be seen if he starts to burn in a blue flame. The longer the corruption, the more the user finds himself being controlled by it. Resistance will reduce the corruption done, but at the cost of energy being sapped, which can lead to exhaustion quickly. The stronger the dark influence, the stronger the other corrupted powers. 2. Darkhand Strength – When corrupted, the user is granted seemingly limitless amounts of strength. He is able to lift practically anything with just his bare hands, and the damage he can do from this is incredible. This also means that the heavy weight of the metal plates that can be formed around the user affects him less than usual, so he can move faster. In addition, the user has increased toughness ; he is able to take more damage and also seem to be unmoved by attacks. 3. Telekinesis – When corrupted, the user is granted a limited level of telekinesis over all metal. Warning: Using telekinesis drains energy, causing exhaustion. It only drains less with higher dark influence. Default Holder: None. This is my very first try in this competition. I hope this is acceptable. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | ^On a side note, you can only use the Artifact powers listed above Name: Cherubim Picture: (I may or may not get to that) Forces: Neutral History: Over a century ago the empire of Axium expanded greatly under the power of Ryswick's chamber militiant, led by his three generals: Superion the Just; St. Claire the Immaculate; and Higaide the Shadow. Higaide, originally an orphan rescued by Ryswick, would later pledge himself as the Axium King's vassal and rise up the rank to become one of his trusted military leaders. The Cherubim, an Artifact with significant historical ties with Axium's past, is one of the many mementos left behind by Ryswick after his untimely death. Ryswick died in the attempt to save Superion's soul from damnation, but not before leaving Higaide the Cherubim revolvers. Court Magus Aneramon used their deaths, along with the disappearance of St. Claire, to accuse Higaide of poisoning the King and Superion, forcing him to flee the empire. With no one left to oppose him, Aneramon easily took over the Axium throne. Higaide escaped to Ilys, where he married a Travian woman. Aneramon at this time comes under the influence of the Dark Lord. Years later, Higaide returned to Axium, infiltrating the royal palace and assassinating the tyrant Aneramon with Ryswick's precious memento. Mortally wounded from the battle and close to death, Higaide entrusted the Cherubim revolvers to his descendants, passed down with each generation to those that shared his blood. Several years ago the most recent descendant, and the youngest successor to wield the Cherubim, made headlines as the Death Penalty of Travia. Powers Granted: Shield Piercing or Demon Slayer (your call), Armor Piercing, X2 (Revolver x2) Corrupted Powers Granted: Incorruptible Default Holder: Omega NOTES FOR ME: Don't include these in the profile! Feel free to take out the Shield Piercing if you think that's too much Hopefully I can keep Demon Slayer Higaide the Shadow: Higaide Talos Controls the Death Penalty: Nelos Talos Why Shield Piercing? : Because it's badass Why Demon Slayer? : Aneramon, under possession by the Dark Lord, was slain with the Cherubim The history isn't canon, am I pulling it out of my ass? : No, not really. I wrote out the backstory to Higaide under a side-project called Rain: Excess||Heresy some months ago using canon elements (i.e. Ryswick's supposed death by poison). |
