| Banned | Diamons slowly opened his eyes. He was in an island, with large rocks strewn across the sandy beach. Behind him was nothing but water, and patches of sand with an occasional bamboo tree upon them. Furhter out were clusters of grass floating in the rough waters. Diamons sat up, straightening his body out and took a careful memorization of his surroundings. Upon his sight seeing, he noticed a large ship with a red and white striped flag. He quickly made his way through the large rocks to the ship. It was dead. No humans aboard the ships. As he took another step, he let out a gasp of shock. The ship was broken in half, it's contents spilling into the rushing waters. He quickly jumped into the crevice and kicked one of the lids of the barrels off. Out spilled a sword with blood stains, and a few med packs, as well as repair kits. He eyed both with interest, and opened the med kits. Out popped a needle which Diamons immediately knew was filled with sedatives. He then opened the repair kits. Inside the package was a pair of little clip ons. Diamons touched them. They mechanically went to his clothes and patched up all holes and scrapes. "Handy...", he chuckled, as he walked away. Looking around, he spotted a passageway which seemed to be a cave. Quickly pouncing, he walked through the passageway. Torches lit up the inside like a firefly in darkness. With a sudden jerk, Diamons realized something. These torches were man-made, all aligned in a pattern. In the distance he heard gun shots and people shouting as well as screams. Quickly, he rushed down the cave and emerged at a center point. Deep below was pure darkness. Bodies fell, and not a single pitch of noise escaped that dark treacherous pit, as if it was absorbing every single soul. When he looked up, there was a large cube with ancient runes engraved into them. On top of it stood a female, holding a rifle. She turned around to look at Diamons, and started shooting. On instinct, Diamons backflipped on the bridge he was standing on, and turned it into a dive. With unison, he whipped out his sword and slashed his nearby surroundings, using it as a leverage to jump. He slashed several times and found himself level with the ground again. He then looked up at the female, right on top of him, and acting with a Sixth Sense, he ran up the wall, forward flipped, and slashed her. She fell into the pits, screaming. Her screaming wailed until it died in the pit, with her. Diamons wiped the blood off the blade on the ground, and turned around to look at several people fighting to the death. He knew if he didn't act, he'd die. Quickly, he picked up the rifle the female had dropped and started shooting at the fighters. In a few seconds, the only noise was the sound of drops of water in the pits. "I killed...them all...just to save myself!", he cried, a tear falling from his eye. Everything seemed like chaos now, everything seemed complicated. How many people would he have to kill to get to Lacoste? A hundred? A dozen? It seemed impossible to him, yet he had to move on. What was he to gain if he just sat there crying over what was going to eventually come. Diamons had broke...his strong presence, his confidence all caved in on him. He trudged across the other opposite bridge, his sword trailing on the ground, creating tiny sparks. A single tear fell from his eyes once more, and that was the end. Diamons had enough of running, Lacoste was going to die. He had had enough losing, it was time to kill. Every single person he had to kill, he would do it, just to get to the madman that had caused all this, Lacoste. He hastened his pace, now nimbly jumping from corner to corner. At long last, he approached the place where he had began. The water, the crates. It all seemed familiar. Suddenly, a figure moved. "Hello!?", shouted Diamons, sword drawn. "You alive!? You one of 'em prisoners 'eh!?", shouted a gruff voice. "No...I came through a gate to this world of Astra, something called the Northern Lights". "'Eh, open once every millenium, it does. What brings you here mate?", said the voice, and the man stepped out of the tree he had been working behind. "Name's Hymn by the way". "Hymn...a name of harmony...my name's Diamons." "Diamons!? What an unusual name, I declare!", said the man. "Why, what's so unusual about it?", asked Diamons curiously. "Oh kid, it's the name of one of the four legendary Elemental Beasts!". "Elemental Beasts!?", Diamons asked, perplexed by the new information. "You born in the '50s kid? Elemental Beasts...the four strongest creatures Nightfall ever sent into this darned world. They have the power of the four elements, Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth. There's rumoured to be a fifth Beast, and that's a mystery. But the Beast of Earth, that's Diamons kid", said the man, quickly standing up from his crouch. He was tall, and his hair was spiked in front of his eyes, engulfing it in darkness. He wore a long brown cape, and his pants were greenish jeans, his shoes a stone black. "Why are you here? How'd you get here? And this world knows about Nightfall?". "One question at a time kid. I'm a tradesman, I was selling goods on this pirate ship over there. I sell armor, see? And weapons. And kid, we weren't born in the twentieth century 'ya know? We know everything that goes on around us!". "Stop calling me kid", Diamons said softly and slowly, trailing off. "It's a habit. Sorry Diamons." "Is that ship usable?", Diamons asked, thinking of means of escape. "Far from it. But shore's not too far from here. It's about a mile or two. We could make a raft and hope the currents push us there." "Is that our only option?", Diamons asked, not wanting to place a risk on himself. "Yes." "Then I'm taking it. You coming with me?", Diamons asked, looking at the waters. "Heh, who do you think you are? The question IS, are YOU coming with ME?", Hymn smiled softly. "Are you ready to question my authority?", Diamons asked, a cold tone to his voice. "Hey, listen here. There's only room for one on this raft I've been building. Build your own, you god damn freeloader!", Hymn shouted, throwing an angry fist. "Expand the raft then, to fit two." "It'll take me an hour or two, and you'll need to help", Hymn said, kneeling down once again behind the tree. "What's there!?", Diamons said, irritated at Hymn's indirect talk. "My items of course!", Hymn said, smiling softly. "Ahh...I see...", Diamons retorted, paying no attention. "So, want to start on the raft?", Diamons asked impatiently. "Yes, get some wood and dry it over a fire", Hymn barked. "Hmm...where to get wood...where to get wood...", Diamons muttered. Last edited by Diamons; 07-12-2006 at 09:31 PM. |
