| Gunzfactorian Commando | Very. You do realise that the RPG is GunZ-related, do you not? I've already told you in the past to watch your ego and I definetly don't want you to degrade our efforts of 2 years. Not only has the RPG been and still is a GunZ-related story, Mr. Wax and the Digger-Of-All-Substances-In-My-Left-Nostril have both recently made GunZ-related series. Not forgetting to mention Jackolope, Zephyre, Guobin2 (<3), STM1993 and countless other GunZ-related stories that I have seen over the last few years that I have been here. So in relation to Quote:

| Gunzfactorian Patriot | I think you missed the part where I said "currently", as in: still in motion. I dig and still respect Nosy, Wixern and Guobin's FajnFic work. I've even browsed through Jackalope's stuff briefly, but it was all old.. Furthermore I don't consider the GTDRPG an actual fan-fiction, it's more of a game. Unless you guys want to rename it GTDCFF (GunZ The Dual Collective Fan Fiction), but it seems to me it was called RPG by GodSplitter because it's more of a game. As for the comment about my ego, I think you owe me an apology. Nobody else in this section has encouraged new writers the way I did. I helped out and exchanged opinions with many people,a s long as I had the time. I wished people did the same for me, but so far only Nose and Admiral put the effort to give me constructive criticism. I never once said I was the best writer in this forum, and I never once said anything negative about the GTDRPG besides the fact that it should be either sticky or have its own forum section. Gees, I thought you had something funny or interesting to share when I saw you coughing in objection, but turns out it was a bunch of slandering crap. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | The RPG is anything but a game. It may be simular, but it has a whole lot more to it. And although it can't be comparable to other types of writing, such as the more common prose, it is a story in which participants such as myself can write to continue the tale, with the objective to “be creative” and “to make the BEST compelling storyline.” (quote) Even though GTDRPG may stand for GunZ The Duel: Role Playing Game, it does not stand on the basis that a character spawns and finds other players in the game to “pew pew pew” at and for a voice to ring out, “BOOM! HEADSHOT, BABY!” It is intended to write detailed posts with preferable verisimilitude - although taking into account the physics of GunZ and the like. I’d prefer that you don’t judge GTDRPG without reading it first and as I said before, it IS a very different concept of writing compared to prose and IMO, it’s a lot harder, as you cannot anticipate how the other participants will react. Whether or not you to decide to recognize the RPG as being a story/GunZ Fan-fiction, I really don’t care; I don’t want to start an argument. It is true that you have encouraged new writers to improve, however it isn’t uncommon to see a side comment from you that it would be beneficial for them to read your own prose as inspiration. I have read two of your pieces and in fact, I have posted in the thread of your metaphoric use of angels and demons. I made the first comment, however my comment disappeared for some strange reason and I couldn’t bother making another one. I also read “The Sea of Dissimulations,” but I refrained from commenting, as there was nothing constructive to say; except that I disrespect the fact that your friend is sending your work to his ex-girlfriend in an attempt to win her over, as not only may it backfire - as she may expect more from him or for him to write something or say something on the spot – but I believe that a relationship built on lies does not last and your integrity is more important than trying to impress someone. And I don’t know what funny or interesting thing I could have said in response to “I am the only one currently making an actual GunZ related series” by coughing in rejection, but the reason why I didn’t answer you the first time was because you may get angry about my “slandering crap.” Last edited by Ailysa; 02-22-2008 at 04:05 AM. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | I feel a wrong vibe here, guys. I do believe this sort of argument should not be posted in a thread such as this. My suggestion is to take it to PM's, rather than hijacking this thread. Or, alternately, I suggest letting it rest and agree to disagree. Also, since the question of this topic has been answered, it might be in order to lock it up (and perhaps add a little line to the sticky concerning the posting of poems.) |
