ISP sucks ass!

Okay, so I have a problem with my ping.

I have a friend who I used to get 50 ping too (I noticed my ping was extremely higher for most players)
so I called my ISP
they gave me a new modem, cords, everything....

So bam! I was 30 ping to my friend, all happy etc since I had lower ping to a lot of CAN/US players that I played against...

then all of a sudden (just last night) my ping went up to 50 ping to him again...

it is not a spike it is stable..
so i called my isp and they said they can't do nothing about it? uhhh

any ideas anyone?

Have reported. They said their was nothing wrong?

clearly shooting up 30 ping isn't normal....

Anyways I leave my computer / modem on 24/7...
could this be a problem to my ping?

Also my power bar gets extremely hot... maybe thats a factor to the problem too?

Switch ISP's if you are unsatisfied with the service they are providing you with, theres really nothing we can do to help you.

ii agree..you should call and ask for help..
if i was you i would have filed a complaint on the person who said they couldnt do anything, so that i could get to to higher power and threaten to leave the provider..

thats just how G i am though..

You can do that provided, you have other provider in your area. But I cant I only got one provider. I was told once by somebody if I complaint too much, the provider can always terminate my broadband. Thats what I heard.

Thats why I never go overboard with my complaint. (-_-).

Ontario, Canada?

I always thought Shaw had the fastest server, but now I hear it is Sympatico?

On a side note - Could it possibley be just a bad connection day for all of Shaw?

I'd go with rogers.

Shaw is the worst internet provider. You must share your connection with the people who live around you.
