I need help.

I'm sure it's been discussed a zillion times, but I just cant get mine to work. I saw the problem on here before and she/he was able to fix it with the advice of others.

This is my problem.


I click my GunZ Launcher, the window comes up and waits like ten minutes: Mind you, if I bring any window over this window or anything like that, it will appear to be frozen. Anywho, After ten minutes or so it will go through and say it cannot connect to the server or something or other.

I saw someone say to download it through Azureus and-or Utorrents so I did. I dont quite know what to do now, so I clicked the GunZ launcher again and the same error comes up.


On the family computer I got it to go through but it gets stuck at 99.21% or something like that. I am trying to get it to work on the computer in my room. I'd prefer play it in here than out there. So if anyone can help me, please do.

Edit: Also, I just read I need to find this file C:/Program Files/MAIET/GunZ and paste some info I have there. Yea well, I couldnt find the file/folder mlogin.txt

Well..Hope this helps but I have the same prblem as you too. And if you have realised it too, the developers aren't saying anything about it. This shows their negligence towards I GunZ. My solution is this;
Quit I GunZ, wait for NA GunZ that is coming in a week or so.

xD I tried to play that GunZ when it came out a week ago or something. The closed Beta one. Wouldnt let me on, some error window came up saying it couldnt get the needed data. So I have yet to have any GunZ Experience. Cant play this one, or the other. T_T

Hello Digi,

Please verify your personal firewalls are turned off, along with your anti-virus programs. Also make sure windows firewall isn't blocking gunz.

GunzLauncher.exe, Gunz.exe, and XTrap.exe all have to be allowed through the programs listed by AKAlias.

It might be easier to turn the firewalls, virus scanners all off if you dont want to waste time letting them through.

I'm not too worried about that one, I tried to go back and play it, but it was closed. So I am trying to get the one I had to play. Any suggestions on what I should do?

A friend of mine, and his brother were trying to play it on his brothers user account on his comp. He had the same problem as me. My friend signed back on his user account and it worked for him.

I wonder what is wrong with it! >_<

Hello Digi,

In order to play gunz, personal firewalls must be turned off, along with your anti-virus. Gunz.exe and Gunzlauncher.exe must be allowed through windows firewall - alternitively you can turn WF (windows firewall) off. Gunz has major problems running with firewalls up, same case with most anti-viruses.

Torrenting is another way of downloading the update. If you have time, go for it. If you don't, simply download the full client from one of the many threads around here.

Here's my suggestion, download the GunZ application from here.

If you have the latest update, this version of GunZ should run properly (it does not torrent).

Well, I disable my Norton Firewall, and tried to disable my WF, but it wouldnt let me bring it up. Said some unideitified problem has occured and it couldnt open it. Any suggestions to get around that? xD



Newbie: I have downloaded GunZ from there. The bigger version from the RapidShare link, and the smaller one under it. I've downloaded just about everything from this site trying to make it work. I've had this problem for about a month and I cant get around it. T_T
