![]() | I have played gunzonline for over a year now, and since the first day I have had to play with graphics lag. The game runs slowly making k style moves go WAY slower than normal, rockets/massives sometimes freeze my game for like 2 seconds to sometimes minutes. So I have decided to try to upgrade my computer before NA Gunz comes out but I dont know what I need to buy. My computer was only like $450 and no Im not rich, $200 probably the most I will be able to spend. Im thinking of a graphics card should fix it, and maybe upgrade my RAM if I have enough money left (I have 256 ram right now). The graphics card I currently use is really bad, it came with the computer. So can someone recommen a graphics card to buy or.. recommend something, anything Im lost.. |

| Member | *contemplates making a "slow computer pride" movement, is shunned by many* I run off a pretty crappy pc myself, the biggest thing to do is to lower your res to at low as it can get, (640X400 I believe is the size) and setting the textures to 16 bit. Light Map is the biggest cpu eating effect (although if the backgrounds just had the shading drawn into them that wouldn't be an issue to begin with...just the character shading would), I always have it off. all the others can be set to low except for effect, set that to normal or high so you can see the bullet impacts and bullet holes, it's hell to not be able to see those. setting the color at 16 bit helps too, but I'm not sure how big of a difference 16 and 32 bit have though *colorblind*, so if you want to balance out performance and quality, you might want to consider it. |
