| Newbie | Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Been playing gunz for quite a while now, but haved moved and my desktops been replaced with a laptop. I wasnt expecting miracles, but I though Id try playing gunz on it. First time it ran there was an error (i think) about being unable to initialise the vertex shader. I assumed and still assume thats its purely because trying to run the game off a graphics card which uses shared memory just isnt going to work. Theres neither the power nor the technology. I went into the config.xml and turned all the options way down, to maybe help. Like I said I wasnt expecting miracles anyway - playing at 640x480 would be better than nothing. That didnt change anything. The actual problem is that the program starts (both with and without the launcher), launches xtrap, creates a full screen black window, then almost immediately disappears and xtrap unloads aswell. Any thoughts, heres the mlog.txt, in case its of any help: GUNZ 1,0,0,290 launched. build (Jul 25 2006 14:24:36) Log time (09/13/06 22:33:40) test.txt not found NON-Skip XTrapPatch CPU ID = GenuineIntel ( family = 6 , model = 11 , stepping = 1 ) @ 1066 MHz Display Device = S3 Graphics Twister HP ( vendor=5333 device=8d01 subsys=20103c revision=2 ) Display Driver Version = 6.13.0010.1016 Windows = 5.1 Build 2600 , Service Pack 2 (228848KB) : Windows xp.. And yes I did have a look at the stickys, but they are ingame problems for the most part. Last edited by shrimp_girl; 09-24-2006 at 06:06 AM. Reason: typo |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | Direct X 9.0c. Google it and download it. If your OS isn't original, you still can get it from www.download.com. Last edited by Justzen; 09-24-2006 at 08:28 AM. Reason: Website linking correction |
