yes u can, simple close some useless programs, from ur load Tray, or press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and u can close some programs u dont need, but becarefull not 2 close usefull programs, if u do then just restart your computer.

A faster internet connection also helps.

It depends if you're having that excessive ping problem (as in 25k and such) or not. ^^; Closing programs that you're not using as Ranz007 said helps, but not much. Not downloading things at the same time also helps, but not much again.

One way to reduce your ping from the excessive 10k+ down to as low as it can probably get (unfortunately you'd still get 100 ~ 200+ ping to people overseas due to distance lag) is to reinstall. A friend of mine experienced this high ping problem when he couldn't update and copied the Gunz folder completely from mine.

Hopefully it works. o_o

Get a faster internet connection.

Sounds obvious...because it is. Granted, it only helps to a point.

We won't see the <10 pings like in Korea for a while. We need the internet backbones to be upgraded before we have those sweet ping times.

That and servers that are spread out all over the US (and world?) to minimize the distance lag.

Until that time, the above should work for you.
