| Moderator | I recently borrowed a PS2 from a friend of mine. Apparently he hasn't used it in a long time and it's just been sitting around. Anyway, I got a hold of a copy of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence and wanted to play it. However, for some odd reason it doesn't detect the memory card. The PS2 does have a memory card in it. It's a yellow 110KB Nyko Playstation memory card. I was able to browse through it and delete the saves it had, so the card definitely works and the PS2 detects it. The game doesn't. I tried switching it to a different slot and the game still detects no memory card. Does anybody know what's wrong? I was thinking that maybe this card is too old of a model for the game to detect or something, but I don't use consoles so I wouldn't know anything about this. |

| Gunzfactorian Veteran Hero | Is it a PS1 memory card? If so, the PS2 will recognize it and save but will only make it seem corrupt or something. I tried this awhile back playing Vagrant story and having a PS1 card. Needless to say my wanting to play Vagrant Story died very quickly. I can't exactly help you in this case really. Though, hope you find the problem. |
