Need more ram?

My specs

It's a laptop, and i can't upgrade the graphics card.

Do you think upgrading my ram would make any difference? to gaming, etc.

You shouldn't really have problems with gaming. Maybe on some of the higher end games with high graphics. You should still be able to run them on medium to low.If you wanted to you could make it 3 gb if it would make you happy. May increase performance a bit. That is a pretty small hard drive.

Single core processor >_<

Yeah, unless you want to take that apart and add a better processor,(which I doubt your motherboard supports) . Only thing you can really do is add some ram. :/

I don't wanna open it up because i heard this laptop is complicated to get into lol. But i do know processors that work because i've seen the same model on the net with better processors and same mobo.

I might add some ram.. i dno it's rather cheap at the moment but i'm thinking about buying a cheap desktop anyway.

Yeah gunz is a low end game though.

For example:

I can play it on my desktop
Single core processor 2.0 ghz,
382 DDR1 Ram.
128 MB shared Radeon xpress200 Graphics.

I have to end explorer.exe for no FPS, but if I wanted to not have to do that, I could just add 512 Ram

you run gunz just fine right

2.25 gb of ram is more than plenty, standard is 2 gb if your an extremist like me you can go for 4 gb its a little bit more if u build yourself[about 20 bucks] and xp only recognizes 3.6 gb of it anyway so eh.

My 2 slots currently have a 2GB + 512mb ram in them

a 2GB ram stick for my laptop is $60/£30

I have to end all my programs including explorer.exe and some other crap that acer has built in (that i can't remove from startup for some reason but can end process) to play WoW + GunZ Without lag and it can get quite annoying, i also can't run winamp or any other player while playing games.

ez i played with 30 fps for over a year.

Gunz boring without good music

how do u start gunz without it
and i also have lot of pesky programs running how to end them

That's a sacrifice you'll have to make until you get more ram. Although 2.5 gb should be enough...you sir, have processor issues.

Don't brag about being able to run gunz and do well with only 256 mb of ram. RAM isn't the only thing that makes things run fast, you also have to put into play Processor speed, graphics card. vista or XP, How many processes are running, and probably a few other things. You have 2.5 gb...I personally think you should just get a desktop if you're too picky about the tasks and stuff you have to end.

Well what I do is leave it on until I get to the gunz launcher part where it says "start game". I then control alt delete>>end task(explorer.exe).

Wait for it to close out completely and then hit the start game button.

Then when you're done with gunz. control alt delete again, and then
file>>new task(run)>>explorer.exe ^^
