| Gunzfactorian Commando | I'm having some serious computer errors. My parents computer, which is a 3 year old e-machine(lol). Is terribly slow, and the internet browsers have serious issues navigating. I'm unsure of what it is, but the controll activeX things that pop up, for some reason I can't allow them. This doesn't worry me too much, what really worries me is the fact that I can't update my flash player. If I go to youtube on opera or firefox, everything works okay. If i go on internet explorer, I can't watch anything because the flash player isn't updated and whenever I try to update it, it doesn't finish with the update. I always get an error. Any suggestions? |

![]() | I don't really understand what you are trying to do. If Firefox and opera are working fine, why use IE? But either way it sounds like something’s wrong with your IE install. I don’t think Microsoft has stand alone installers for their browsers, so that isn’t really an option. I would try running a windows update and see if it recommends upgrading to IE7. If that doesn't work you could do a system restore to back before you started having problems or insert the XP disk and do a system repair (never tried doing one myself though). If all else fails do a reformat, it sounds like it's time anyways. A three year old computer really shouldn't be that slow. I'm sometimes surprised at how fast my five year old P4 is... |
