| Gunzfactorian Patriot | When i played music on any player, no matter what i used, i always had this big problem of FPS lag and sometimes it got so bad it made me spike to other people (my internet is 20mb/s not on wireless so i was rather confused) and i've had this laptop for 9 months... And i just found out the thing that has caused this problem..... a process called Audiodg.exe I never noticed it because it only ran at just over 10,000 K and because i'm on vista and i had to use "show processes from all users" it went unnoticed. But 10 mins ago, i actually downloaded a Vista widget today (first time ever) that showed the top 3 processes that are taking up my CPU, I was playing music at the time and it had audiodg.exe at the top of the list taking up 23% of my CPU (yeah wtf?) so yeah, i closed winamp to see if it was music that was the problem because audio in the name of a process felt like something to do with sound lolol -_- and as i closed winamp, it went straight off the list. It doesn't just run when i'm on winamp either and the thing is when I end the process in task manager i get no sound.... ugh Any solutions? _____________________________ Edit : I did some googling, and i found a solution, so if your having the same problem as me, give it a try .................................................. ............................... 1. Go to control panel > sound > speaker > Propteries. 2. Then under enhancements. 3. Select "Disable all enchancements". 4. Enjoy your music without lag or delay!! .................................................. .............................. Last edited by Fail9000; 05-11-2008 at 03:33 PM. |
