Computer freezing.

When using my Digital Media Keyboard 1.01a, a Microsoft Intellitype product, my computer will freeze once a key is pressed after restarting my computer. The only ways I have been able to temporarily fix this problem is either through a system restore, or by uninstalling the program for the keyboard, reinstalling, and then restarting my computer, all without pressing so much as the volume keys.

The problem usually starts when I am in an internet browser, such as Firefox or IE. After clicking on a link, the computer freezes, only being able to be restarted, and this is usually where the problem begins. I have started using my older keyboard I had before, and the problem has disappeared completely, leaving me to only assume that the problem is the keyboard itself.

Only just today though, after one of these freezes, every time I used the keyboard after that, it would almost instantly freeze up, regardless of anything I did to fix it. My friend, whom is very good with computer, told me that without actually seeing the problem, he can only assume that it is either a temperature problem, or a problem with the power.

If anyone has any information on what could fix this problem, please let me know.
