![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Buy one. Moreover, you get less problem with cable than wireless antenna problem. Currently theres two doing it, one made a wire through(or around) your room to the router place. Two, use powerplug wire extension. Im not sure with the reliability but it'll cost more than just buying one wire and connect it from your room to the router. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Nope. I never mention you need to buy another router. I think you misunderstand my explanation. The powerplug is something like a network extension through your wallpower outlet from your room to the router powerwall outlet. If using this way, you need two network cables, one from your computer to powerplug in your room. Then another network cable from the powerplug in router room to the router itself(since its a wireless router I assume you have a 4 port in that router right?). The powerplug comes in pair, the current price in my country(old models=slower) cost around RM100-RM200. I think your country might even be cheaper due to exchange rate. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | The wireless is a good solution to connect to a PC to the internet. However, in online game like GunZ wireless will be a nightmare. Such nightmare is cause by the fact the wireless has some periods where there is no connection between the two identity. Its really normal to have something like that in any wireless network. Moreover, as the distance increases the periods, of which the connection is lost, will increase and will be worse. In other words, you will spike a lot with spikes being longer in period, about 2 seconds, and more frequent. My opinion is to go for wired connection. If you considered the wired connection post here and I would help you out to figure the best configuration for your house. Regards, Ac!d Ra!n |

I've heard horror stories of them getting terrible ambient noise from the electrical lines that cause terrible bandwidth issues. I've been questioning getting this setup as I am also on a wireless connection (But I know how to port forward unlike most people), but I still get drops in the connection and I've been seeking to get a pair of those but I don't feel like dropping $100+ for something that will make my connection issues worse. In short, how are they on stability issues?

But for me, it wouldn't be much. But try to emphasize that there is alot of noise and the need for STP and stuff. Because STP is very expensive comparing it to the usual UTP cables; for such thing most networking Techs just go directly for the cheapest solution. I mean you don't want a Customer complaining that you did the same Job in his friend's house with price lower then His , he wouldn't notice or understand even that the material used is different .Regards, Ac!d Ra!n
