Default Anyone know how to burn DVD's that the PS2 can read?

I recently installed my PS2 in my car, but when i make a DVD of a TV show that i downloaded via Limewire, my PS2 cant read it ...

I used DVD Flick. Took 2 hours to burn it and didnt work at all. Gay ****.
This thing auto-converts it btw.

So, any suggestions?

I know what you mean, but a ex-friend used to bring copied DVDs that the PS2 could read.

Reading a movie isnt the same as reading a game.

i dont believe these type of topics should be discussed here due to the following reasons:

1. downloading and burning tv shows is illegal and should not be discussed here.
2. the "technical forum" is for gunz related technical issues.

try to understand what im saying since i mean the best for us members and the gunzfactor website itself =]

Hmmm that is wierd.

I now own an xbox 360, but was a previous ps2 owner.

I would buy dvd's from the chinese [pirate ones LoL] and 80% of them would run perfect, sometimes one may be in black and white on the ps2.

I have heard it could be something to do with your firmeare version. Now i dont know if you can update this.

If not i suggest you get a different converter [maybe Nero] convert the file separatley and then burn it, and try again.

If it does not help, PM me for more help as i will probably forget to check this thread LoL.

Ex-friend?

Games need mod cheap if its not original I think. I havent own one yet.

As for DVD movies, check your PS2 spec whether it really support it.
Theres alot of variants and mods models.

It's the difference between the original PS2 model and the slimline, the slimline model has more piracy securities I think and therefore won't play copies.

It also has trouble playing the original blue back game discs.

I got a pretty good deal on mine, all you have to do is....
1) Start up your PS2
2) Put the mod disc in
3) Choose the regional settings and encoding
4) Rip the PS2 disc tray open
5) Take out the mod disc and put the game/DVD in
6) Close the tray completely
7) Press start on the screen, enjoy!

modchip.org has some good stuff, you can google other stuff.

Its called Swap Magic.

A simple 'swap magic ps2' google search will bring your answers.

It allows you to change discs without opening the disc tray so you can boot copied games, no modchip needed, so your warranty stays intact.

I had it on my ps2.
