Agent Error Again Please Read

Ok here it is, I have seen a lot of posts dealing with this error and no one has come up with a solution yet. This apparently has to do with people that are using routers to connect more then one computer to the internet since everyone suggests the port forwarding step. Here is my issue, just like many I have seen on this board, my son and I can't enter a room, no matter what room even one either of us don't create, and see each other. Ok we see each other but we get the agent error message and it shows us as disconnected to each other. If we are in a room with others we can see everyone else in the room and kill them but we can't kill each other since we get the disconnect sign over our heads. Now before anyone says anything about port forwarding or anything like that let me say I have done it ALL. Every step that has been suggested on the boards I have done as well as going as far as to find out some other information about my modem and router and doing steps there as well. Still I have had no success in allieviating this problem. Only one person on the boards seems to have gotten around this problem and they don't remember how they did it. Well this isn't much help to the rest of us but here is what I suggest. In all of the posts no one has bothered putting down any specs for anything, PC, Modem, router, etc. Nothing, not a word about what might be causing this problem but everyone seems to say it is a port forwarding problem. If this is the case and MAIET has any hope of solving this issue they may need the information from the people to find the solution. Keeping that in mind I am including my information so that maybe others will take the step and do the same so we may hopefully come up with a solution to this problem.

I am running a Westell ADSL modem that has its own firewall that I have disabled and made so it is my main 'router'. Please don't ask me to explain this because it was a long process and not something I would suggest for anyone that doesn't know how routers, networks, and the like work. You can find the information here http://forum.portforward.com/YaBB.cg...num=1139203841. I am running a Linksys BEFW11S4 Wireless B but, am not using the wireless part of it. All comps are hooked to this by cables. Since we started playing I have tried all the steps many times to correct the Agent Error gotten between our computers. Oh yea I am running a Compaq Presario AMD 1800+ Windows XP, with over a gig of ram. My graphics card is the NVIDIA FX 5200. My sons computer is slightly faster and is running the same graphics card. Not at his comp so can't give the specs sorry. Hopefully this may help in resolving the problem with this Agent Error.

Please everyone post what you are using, if your using a router or not etc. With all the problems with this I seriously have to believe it is something in the game but with no information from people that are getting it how can the company hope to resolve it.

you cant play together on the same connection. even using different ports for each computer

Well ok I can accept that but we can play any other game on the same connection so there should be a way to make Gunz compatable to do the same. Also I would like to mention my friend who is trying to play the game as well. He gets the Agent Error as well but for everyone and has done the same as I have to correct the problem. So you see I don't think it is that you CAN'T play on the same connection I simply think it is something in the game causing this error for everyone. He has a better computer and better internet connection then we do and has even tried running it without his router so it may not be a router problem. Thus my suggestion for everyone to post what they are using to play Gunz with

Thanks for the links but I have read all of them and I have tried every single one of them plus more and they don't work. That is why I suggested that everyone having the problem list their specs, modem, and router if they are using one.

I have the same problem with my little brother, we cant kill eachother and stuff and i tried everything to, but in other games we can, and when my friend came over with a laptop we could paly gunz at the same time, we did get a new router in that time but I dont think that is the cause

Might I ask what router you had before you played your friend on the lap top and what router you used with your friend. Also have you tried to play with your brother since you got the new router and what was the result. Maybe it is a specific router that is blocking Gunz so this information would be very helpful. Also were you and your friend with the laptop playing on the same connection?
