Problem with frequent short breaks while playing

Well...this is kinda awkward...

It happens to me while playing the game, selecting the character, or getting equipment.

The breaks seem to happen 4-5 seconds apart...and only last a split second.

The problem isn't lag spikes, nor does it seem to be a lack of memory/video card issue, as it happens just the same regardless of whether i have the minimal configuration(everything low) or the normal high specs.

I talked to 2 friends who seem to have the same problem.But not everyone does.

This is extremelly annoying, you are aiming...locking on target...just about to fire! split second break! and it doesnt fire...you are under fire...close in on wall to wallrun, break! and nothing happens and you get bfly trapped or shot in the ass -_-
Sometimes you can fire..break! You hear the firing sounds repeated on a short burst.Same with dash sound effects.

EDIT: There is a heat wave here in Portugal. And i got the problems when the environment was warmer and the computer had already been working for hours. Maybe it is an heat related issue...
I also got it on other 3d game.

Is it your router?
Are you connected directly to your router?

If it isn't lag/spike, it should be the slow speed of your computer receiving/sending packets to the servers.

No it isn't lag spikes, i get it just the same even if i am alone in the room.

I found out something new:
1-Defragging the HD has nothing to do with this -_-
2-Other 3d game i played yesterday had the same short breaks

Today, 10 am, i tried to play gunz, and it worked fine, same with war3 frozen throne.
The difference between now and yesterday evening = Heat ._.! I just started the computer and it is cold. Yesterday, even after restarting, some related component (maybe processor, maybe video card) was probably a bit too hot and started having degraded performance.

But I know what you're tlaking about, For me it WAS infact a router problem...

Hmmmm...its weird, if it is a router problem, how could i be getting the same breaks on the 3d animations of the warcraft3frozenthrone main menu screen?
I mean, on that menu you aren't yet connected to anywhere...

Try alt tabbing once you've started the game.

I think this is more of a hard-ware problem.
Alt+tabbing won't help, lol.

Alt+tab and alt+tab back into the game.

Hardware problem = http://www.computerforum.com

Maybe you can get some help there..
