| Newbie | Okay, I've just torrented GunZ, and everything's fine...But when both my brother and I go into a game, we start lagging..I don't know why, but can anyone tell me the solution to stop this? We are using a "Wireless-G Broadband Router" from LinkSys. It's 2.4Ghz with 54mps. Anyone know the solution to stop the lag when we are in the same game? |

![]() | Are you lagging or are you getting the agent error. agent error is when other persons ping is displayed as 999 and they have red circle above their head and dont move. Im guesing this is your problem. |

![]() | I think i remember what your supposed to do to make it work. But it takes some time. Ok first you have to set up a static Ip address for both computers: heres a nice guide on how to make a static ip http://www.portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm Next you must change what port gunz uses for each idiviual computer, so that they are all using a different port: To do this go into your gunz folder. and find the document named config. Open this document and find the line that says PORT. By defualt port is set to 6000. Now change this number so it is different on each computer, id say keep it between 6000-7000. Probably want to try having one computer using 6000 and one using 7000. Make sure you save changes to the config file. Next you must port forward the ports that you are using: Here is a guide on how to do it with the linksys firmware. http://www.portforward.com/english/r...RT54G/GunZ.htm Ok, now make sure you forward the ports that you slecected for each computer.Make sure you make each application your forward corispond with the ip of each computer you are forwarding. Make one that forwards 6000-6000 for computer #1and another that forwards 7000-7000for computer #2. I might not be completely right about this but this is how what i remeber from the old guide that used to eb on the offical forums. Im pretty sure this si the correct way to do this. But i am not positive. If you need any help just post it here. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | Oh. Yep, router ports again. Just gotta switch the ports here and there, and hope for it to work. ^ Follow instructions. Or look around the stickied threads, I remember reading a tutorial on portforwarding somewhere in GZF forums. Good luck. |
