| Gunzfactorian Patriot | *Blushes.* Aw shucks. Just trying to do what I do... I probably hang out around the Tech Help forum the most out of all of them, mostly because I like to fix broken things, especially with computers. Sometimes all it takes is the installation of something simple. Sometimes the fix is still unknown... Right now, I can't play Gunz anymore because ALL of the games I connect to don't work. Whereas I used to be able to connect to around 30-40% of games, the others giving all agent errors, I can't connect to any games period now. It seems like a combination problem between my router and something that has changed in Gunz. If I were to bet what the problem was, I think it involves the banning of the players. Around the time when all those players were banned, I couldn't play anymore. I imagine that the problem somehow lies in how the banning system works. However, I really don't know... This summer I want to do sort of a complete breakdown of network-related Gunz problems. This includes agent errors and very high pings where the pings shouldn't be high. I think by using packet capturing to see what's going on and by using surveys on this forum, I might be able to at least narrow down possible problems. There has to be some kind of difference between when it connects and when it gives an agent error. Maybe some packet is too is getting corrupted for whatever reason when it passes through certain routers. Well that's my summer project. |

| Gunzfactorian Patriot | Oops, I thought I had replied earlier... It could be due to several reasons. First, try going to Options > Video in Gunz and setting everything to lowest quality. Set the resolution to the lowest possible, disable things like dynamic lighting and so forth, and then set all qualities to low. See if it speeds up any. |
