![]() | Yes your right on my crapcomputer everything was fine. on this one i get 999 fps without v-sync this makes the game act crazy. ( like hanging in midair ) i'm forced to use v-sync. So there is now way i can get the "tail" back , beside downgrading or limiting fps on a lower rate? |

![]() | OK. I noticed that gunz limits fps at 999 ( dont know how you got 1k+ fps Unknown- ) Q: Is there a way to limit FPS in gunz without the use of v-sync ( for old LCD users it's a problem cuz 75 is max ) I'd like to have 100 fps on a LCD display. if gunz limits the frame rate at 999 is there a way to limit them at 100 ? |

![]() | Alrighty, let's clear up some minor misconceptions here. First of all, FPS is NOT limited to any set number as a default. It'll go as high as it wants as long as your computer is able to produce those results. Vertical sync is used to limit your fps so that it synchronizes with your monitor's refresh rate. It doesn't matter how high your fps is if your monitor cannot keep up with it. Generally speaking, having a higher fps than the refresh rate of the monitor can cause image tearing meaning one frame could overlap another causing a "tearing sort of effect". But let's get straight to the point. Looking from your computer's specs, I'd say that you're having a problem with image tearing so I'd recommend that you enable Vertical Sync and the Triple Buffering Option (Enable triple buffering or else sometimes the fps will be capped at 30 fps) and then set your monitor's refresh rate to its max. That should be able to fix the white tail. |

![]() | His specs are fairly high end from the dxdiagnostic log. I don't think he'd lag with a computer like that unless his drivers were installed improperly or his graphics card started overheating. |
