![]() | I am asking for honesty and frankness. Please post what you really think about when you hear the term "Inner City" or "Inner City Schools" and compare this to other real world examples if applicaple. For example(not my opinion): Inner city schools are generally underfunded places where bullying and a lack of respect for authority take precedence. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ive never seen one in person, but I would suspect that(as you said) are underfunded with a poor education system. I would also suspect crime, drug use, and unhealthy situations. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Inner city From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search For other uses, see Inner city (disambiguation). An inner city is the central area of a major city. In the United States and United Kingdom, the term is often applied to the poorer parts of the city centre and is sometimes used as a euphemism with the connotation of being an area, perhaps a ghetto, where people are less educated and wealthy and where there is more crime. These connotations are less common in other Western countries, where deprived areas may be located in outlying parts of cities. For instance, in Paris, Vienna or Amsterdam, the inner city is the richest part of the metropolis, where housing is the most expensive, and where elites and high-income individuals dwell. Poverty and crime are more associated with the suburbs. The French word for "suburb" ("banlieue"), as well as the Swedish equivalent ("förort") often have a negative connotation, especially when used in the plural. I take all my knowledge/opinions from Wiki, so this is what I think. |
