What if our existence were just a computer program

Okay, I think I may have watched the Matrix a few too many times, but what if life as we know it were just a computer program? Maybe we are just little sprites inside a program, like "The Sims", and some sort of higher power was just playing with us? Maybe we're all just 1's and 0's, and exist inside a computer. Anybody else have these kind of thoughts about some kind of theory of existence?

I'd want to meet the programmer... so i could kill him =). (after learning what language and software he uses, then i'd steal his data processer)

Well it wouldn't be concrete proof then, meaning we have no proof our proofs are real, so I reduse to accept anything as fact regardless of anything anyone can say, becuase noone can prove anything.

This topic reminded me of Star Ocean 3: Till the end of Times, where at the end the hero will turn man (yes, from a statistic data into a flesh and blood thing) thanks to the power of symbology or runology (or sorceryin our language).

I wonder if the creator tried to link about why some religion banned the using of magic into his game?

There was a theory about this on Discovery Channel(I think it was Discovery Channel). Something about we're a game,controlled by aliens.I'll try to find some more info on it for you.
