Default Twin Tours disaster

Tragic as it might be, why is there such a small public outcry over the death of hundreds of thousands in Africa compared to the puny 3000 in the Twin Towers?
It just seems like another overreaction by America.

Yep, if your not american, we don't care (most americans don't i mean) mainly because people here think they're better then the rest of the world for some reason.

America sucks, duh. At the moment anyway.

Ah because its more that just 3,000 people, it is what the action symbolized. And if you don't see that then you are very dumb.

Yea and no one really cares about Africa

Africa is rather sadly ignored. The only times we hear about it are those commercials showing one kid after another who hasn't eaten in 3 days.

Well, first off, you might've noticed that this attack was sorta WITHIN U.S. BOUNDARIES!!!!! Also, It was supposedly enacted by muslim fundamentalists, who are sorta BUILDING NUKES!!!!! Not only that, but the bush administration seized it as an opportunity to reap many benefits, which i've listed on another thread with a similar title, by reminding the american people all the time that people want to kill us, and have killed some of us, and aren't going to rest until they've died.

also, no one cares about africa. To foreigners, it's pretty much the hell-iest situation on earth.

Well its daily life there in Africa, its far more shocking if like alot of people die in accidents/disasters/terrorist attacks, its huge news material but the conditions in Africa arent, so no news value on that. Im not hating Africa or anything Im just saying how it is.

Why? Because this hit home. You can say "America r selfishzzz" or "overreaction!" but it's the same for any nation, and almost any person. When something hits you so directly it takes a stronger hold on your reality.

You have to realize that we live in America. We tend to don't care/forget about alot of tragic. For example, Hurricane Katrina.

It was a TERRORIST ATTACK.

No-one's said this yet - but it's "Twin Towers", not "Tours".

America doesn't have terrorist attacks that often at all, but when one thing DOES happen, they treat is seriously - but, after all, they should.

I don't think they really care about what happened in England with the train station, or what happens in the Middle East every day... They pretty much blink an eye and don;t care about those things.

I guess people only care about their own country, and not of their neighbours, which isn't right IMO.

I still disbelieve 9/11 was a terrorist attack, more like an inside job.
