well as a whole, people in this society tend to be incredibly ignorant. not just when it comes to homosexuality, but when it comes to many other things such as circumcision, differing cultures, differing religions, and pretty much anything that the media doesnt inform them (rightly or wrongly) about.

i mean, can you give me the basics about shintoist belief?

it is the opinon of most christians that a man cannot (physically and mentaly) love a man like a man can love a woman, even though they have not experianced said love. the same chemicals are being released in the brain in the same amounts. so scientifically it is the same feeling. but because the bible says other wise, fact must not be true. *shrugs*

and yeah i agree that most christsians are ignorant, but not all.

Circumcision was taught by God. We now understand that without proper health care, a person that is uncircumcised may develop infections and other major health problems.

As christians, we are not inclined to learn anything of other religions or cultures. We are taught not to stray from the path of God, but not to keep ourselves from learning.

The way a human males brain responds to another males brain is greatly different from how it reacts to a womans brain. So no, they do not react the same way.

Christians are accepting people. Yes, we believe homosexuality to be a sin of lust. But part of christianity is being forgiving. Christ forgave all sins, and thus we are forgiven if we do evil.

Understand. People who yell at homosexuals and claim to be in the name of christ, are actually the opposite of what christ taught. We are not ignorant. We are accepting. If you choose to be homosexual, we dont hold it against you. My family is full of christians, several of which are gay. We dont care though, lol! We see them as any other part of our family.

Do not shoot your mouth off. Ive seen you bash Christianity in several other threads besides this one, and every time you have been told off. Stop trying to bash a religion that accepts you for who you are. Use your brain.

Think of what God is supposed to be. A being with unlimited power. A being who can do anything beyond our imaginations.

As a Christian myself, I'd have to say what waterbuster said is almost entirely true. Christians do accept all peoples opinions, no matter what. You cannot PROVE got exists, because Christianity is entirely FAITH BASED. Plus, that was the old testament in there, back then, we had to sacrifice animals and stuff to forgive our sins. But when Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins, we no longer have to die or get "stoned" to death for our sins.

The link in your sig describes a west-wing audio clip. The clip itself bashes the old testament, as it only refers to old-testament quotes.

So far, many people have mistaken that clip to be an assault on christianity. However this is NOT true, due to what I had said before in this thread.(old and new testaments are very different. As of now, we are in the "new" testament, and the old no longer applies.)

The link showed the president flaming some chick based on her old-testament beliefs. They call it "old", because it doesnt suit this day and age.

The old-testament times were chaotic. And when I mean chaotic, I mean people walked into others farmland and had sex with goats. It was barbaric. The old testament set rules and laws to try and suit the time. And it did.
