I'm a Christian, and they weren't Their first question was "Why do all people suffer even when they believe in God?". Let me just say this. You'll get fked up regularly in life, even if you believe in him or not. For instance, you're a hiker, you're hiking up a hill. Suddenly, a bear comes up from behind and corners you. You pray, "Dear God, please don't let this bear eat me." And the bear prays, "Dear God, thank you for this meal." This basically sums up how the whole world works. The reason we have wars is because we want benefits for ourselves. Maybe for land, oil, or trees, or lakes, forts, blah blah blah. We live in a world where humans have to step on other human to survive, or to get the best of one another. God can't change that, because he can't control our free will. Your small family business suddenly booms into a large top company? Well guess what? The company before you who speciallized in what you're selling right now is bankrupt now. You just caused hundreds of people to go jobless. But who cares right? As long as you and your family is rich and happy right? You can pray, but God won't be able to help you with everything. Because that would involve him choosing who is lucky and who lives in a dumpster. He can't help both without changing how our whole society works. How is he suppose to pick from 2 people, who both equally believes in him, to die or to live? Can you do that if you have kids? You don't go to church so God can help you choose what dress to wear on your highschool prom, or to help you get into a good college, or help you with any other life problems. Life is fked up. It's unfair. You can't blame ANYONE for your messups. Even if it's not your fault. It just happens. Live with it. Or die sulking because of it. |
