Default Do You Support the War in Iraq? -- NOW?

It had been a few of years since it started, however, all over the world (not just in the US), there are still protesting on the War in Iraq up until today. Some are peaceful, some are violent - however the cold fact is that in Iraq itself, particularly downtown Baghdad - the effect of war is still as real today and everyday that they woke up, as it was back then.

Forget the upcoming war on Iran or the fact that Iraq was old news: whoever is living there now, be it the locals or foreigners who are working there, including the soldiers who are sent there NOW, are in fact, still there.

So which sides are you on NOW?

I don't know/care what the original intent was. I support the removal of Saddam. And though it'd be nice if everyone got out now, I suppose further chaos would ensue anyhow...

THis is a SERIOUS discussion. That is not funny to be honest. Why? Because if YOU put YOURSELF in THEIR FHKING shoes, you have NO fhking money, your poor, your getting guarded by a foreign soldier, and you just live on hoping you survive this day. Nuke it? Do you know the outcome of an nuke? Everything, and yes I mean EVERYTHING is gone. Those who are out of the area, are indeed effected by HORRIBLE dieases and aftereffects.

if your going to joke like that, get out of this section.

Doesn't matter why we went in now or what has happened frankly (although I supported that too) but we have to finish the job.

America protested. Other countries protested. HIS PEERS PROTESTED.

Even half of his cabinet members protested.

Guess who didnt? Thats right, the monkey in office. He supports favoritism, and he is an idiot. I dont care if the FBI comes by my house and arrests me, but that guy is an idiot. George bush is an absolute retard.

USA is a country that gains from wars. Our economy grows. We gain profit, and succeed as a country for further generations because we pick fights with other countries.

A country that bases a massive portion of its economy on war lost cash due to war. He is that bad of a leader.

I don't support the war in Iraq, but this is an extremely complicated situation now. Saddam was cruel to his people, but he wasn't the problem we faced, we could have dealt with him at a later date instead of sealing our future in wars with the middle east. We spent six years facing Iraq and a little of it spent facing Afghanistan. What about Saudi Arabia, what about Iran? We were attacked by squads from both of those countries on 9/11 but we didn't fight back at all, we simply placed the blame on a country that had nothing to do with it whether or not it was equally bad.

Right now we're forging government in Iraq and it's extremely unstable because we never bridged a connection between the Sunni's and the Shi'ites. We're even building a third division in the country, do you have any idea what kind of civil wars might break out if not handled delicately? And if we pulled out, how many sides we'd be attacked from? How many wars in the middle east would have started because of the U.S.?

I do not support the war, but just because I don't support it doesn't mean we can pull out now. The USA has dug itself a hole. Now we have to get out whether we support it or not. ;x

As far as Bush goes? Pray he doens't **** things up any worse until next year. But it's bound to happen.

It's like my father said a thousand times when he came home from his tour in Iraq.

"Iraq is a ****ty country. It's people are all filthy mongrels that make their own ****. It was a ****ty, non-productive ****hole a thousand years ago, and it will be a ****hole for the next thousand years because the people don't want anything to change."

I don't support the war. Never have. Even though Saddam was removed another crazy, religious dictator will always come back to take over the moment we leave. (If we ever leave) Iraq is a filthy country run by over zealous, religious fanatics. In fact, the U.S. isn't much different since we're also run by religious idiots. Sure, we like to portray ourselves as the goodguy country of the world, but in fact we're the greater of two evils.
